I’m linking up for Friday Five with Courtney from Eat Pray Run DC, Mar from Mar on the Run and Cynthia from You Signed Up For What?! Today’s theme is Fitness!
We all know that clothing and products can either make or break a workout. I have tons of favorite fitness items, but today I’m going to focus on the ones that make me feel aware, empowered, sweaty and strong!
I’m lucky enough to be an ambassador for this company that I love oh SO much! Not only do they have the best colors and patterns, but they always have a special “Sock of the Month”. In addition, they always have a discount code that you can use to save money on their awesome socks. My new obsession are their Elite Marathon socks. These socks have targeted calf support and enhanced padding in the heel and toe. Currently these socks come in four colors and I own all four!

2. Old Navy Compression Capris/Shorts/Leggings
I’m a huge fan of running in compression gear because I feel that it helps with my IT band injury. I’ve been running and working out in Old Navy compression bottoms for many years. They have great patterns and you can always catch them on SALE (hooray)! Some of the benefits of their compression bottoms include go-dry wicking to keep you cool and dry, four way stretching and hidden pockets to hold your keys while working out.
3. Aftershokz Trekz Titanium Wireless Headphones
I discussed my love of these headphones in a previous post and my opinion of these headphones has only improved! I have used these headphones on numerous runs, including long runs, and I love that I am more aware of my surroundings during my runs. I’ve also gotten many compliments on the color as well!
Another great thing about these headphones is that for every unit sold on their website through October 31st, 2016, AfterShokz will donate 25% of proceeds to Bright Pink, a non-profit that focuses on breast and ovarian cancer awareness and action. In addition, every time #AwareWithPink is used on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, AfterShokz will donate an additional 25 cents to Bright Pink to extend the awareness!
4. Moving Comfort Control Collection Sports Bras
A good sports bra is EVERYTHING! While I love Under Armour and Champion C9 sports bras, I have a new found love for Moving Comfort sports bras. So far I have tried the Juno and Jubralee styles and they have both been great. If you have a little more on top, these are great control sports bras that keep everything in place. This is especially important for long runs!
5. Mizuno Wave Inspire Sneakers
Mizuno has a few different support sneakers but I really like the Wave Inspire series. I’ve tried a few other sneakers this year, but I always go back to my trusted Wave Inspire series. I think that the 10’s were my favorite model, but I also love the 11’s. I just purchased a pair of the 12s to try out as well. What I love about these sneakers is that they offer support but they aren’t heavy. I’ve done numerous long runs (including up to 20 miles) in these sneakers and my feet never hurt, so that’s a win-win in my book!
Do you have any favorite fitness items?
I love my Trekz headphones too! I’m a Mizuno fan, I usually run in the Wave Rider.
The headphones are great! I’ve heard great things about the Wave Rider sneakers but I haven’t tried that model yet!
I bought a pair of the Pro Compression Elite socks and love them as well.
I’m hoping they release a new color that I can rock for the marathon!
