Happy Sunday! This week felt so long – I was happy when it finally hit Friday. Two days off from work was much needed!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, February 6
Joshua Tree Scenic Ride (30 minutes)
Mood Walk + Run: Spicy 2/14/22 – Kirsten (20 minutes)
Extra 10: Hike 11/1/22 – Tobias (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – 500m Benchmark Row (60 minutes)
Focus Flow: Healthy Back 1/31/23 – Kirra (10 minutes)
I definitely have a love/hate relationship with the 500m benchmark row. It’s probably the hardest of the three row benchmarks. The coaches always say this is the benchmark where you definitely feel the burn in your chest, lol. I was only about 3 seconds off from my PR, and three seconds faster than when I did the benchmark last February, so I’ll take it! My PR is from 2020 so I doubt I’ll hit that again, but I’ll keep trying.
My back was bothering me after the workout so I did a healthy back focus flow and it felt amazing!
Tuesday, February 7
BHM Celebration Ride 2/6/23 – Cliff (30 minutes)
Reggaetón Run 2/7/23 – Camila (30 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 8/9/22 – Susie (10 minutes)
Lower Body Strength: Live From Home 6/4/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Latin Yoga Flow 2/6/23 – Mariana (20 minutes)
Camila’s live reggaetón run worked with my schedule so I decided to use that class for my run for the day. The playlist was amazing and the class flew by. I really like her as an instructor and need to take her classes more often. The Latin yoga flow class was really good – great music and I was able to keep up with most of the moves.
Wednesday, February 8
Cuyahoga Valley Ride (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Pop Run 2/6/23 – Marcel (20 minutes)
I’ve been enjoying the scenic rides a lot lately. I think I’ll try to get through all of my bookmarked scenic rides this month. The OTF class had a very rude treadmill block full of inclines – it was not fun lol.
Thursday, February 9
Warm Up Run 2/28/22 – Joslyn (5 minutes)
Saturday60: Hip Hop 2/4/23 – Jess (60 minutes)
French Pyrenes Ride (30 minutes)
Focus Flow: Quads 1/11/23 – Anna (10 minutes)
The Saturday60 class are now at noon instead of 10am so I doubt I will take many of them live, but doing them on demand is just as good! Jess had a great hip hop playlist for this class – I was able to sing along to every single song which is usually rare for boot camp classes. The quads focus flow yoga class felt amazing because my quads are always so tight.
Friday, February 10
Turkey Trot 11/25/21 – Matty (45 minutes)
Full Body Strength 2/10/23 – Jess (45 minutes)
It was almost 50 degrees when I woke up, and I didn’t have my usual Friday morning OTF class, so I decided to go for an outdoor run since I haven’t done that in a few weeks. Unfortunately the start of the run was full of tech issues, which made me remember why I prefer the treadmill, but after about 5 minutes I got everything up and running and the run was great. Jess had a live strength class at 12:30pm so I figured I would take that class over my lunch break. As always, it was hard but good, and hit all the body groups.
Saturday, February 11
Snow Canyon Ride (15 minutes)
Hip Hop Walk 2/9/22 – Jess (15 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (90 minutes)
Focus Flow: Hips 12/15/22 – Aditi (10 minutes)
Our studio ran a special 90 minute class for the Transformation Challenge participants. It’s been a while since I’ve done a 90 minute class but this class was SO SO good! All three coaches from my team for the challenge were there (each coach coached two blocks) and the playlist was fun so it made the time go by quickly. But I will admit I was toast after the class. I definitely could have taken a nap but stayed awake.

Sunday, February 12
Orangetheory Fitness – Lift 45 (45)
Pop Ride 2/10/23 – Cody (30 minutes)
Focus Flow: Quads 1/11/23 – Anna (10 minutes)
I was still pretty sore but still wanted to get in a good strength workout. I wasn’t a huge fan of the template today – it was a partner workout and pretty confusing. My body is feeling pretty beat up today so the focus flow class felt great for my quads.
This week’s stats:
Bootcamp – 60 minutes
Cycle – 30.39 miles
Orangetheory Fitness – 255 minutes
Running – 17 miles
Strength Training – 65 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 932/934*
*not including rowing classes
This felt like the never-ending week. I really hope that next week goes by faster. I took off next Friday so that I could have a 4 day weekend (we’re off for President’s day) so I’m looking forward to a nice 4-day weekend.
I’m halfway through the Transformation Challenge so tomorrow I will re-rake my measurements to see if I have made any progress. I’m not really concerned about the number on the scale, but more interested to see if I have lost inches around my waist, etc.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

I also love the classes where I just sing along and they fly by. Glad you got outside this week for a run. It was crazy warm all week. Sounds like your OTF challenge is going well! Have a great week ahead
Whenever I sing, or rap, during a class I feel like I get an extra endurance style type of workout, lol
Would you believe I have not bought one box of GS Cookies? I am trying so hard to just not bring processed food in the house because of Mr PugRunner. Uggh.
Great workouts this week! Hope your back feels better!
My neighbors daughter hasn’t hit us up yet for GS cookies but I know it’s coming, lol
As always, you had a great week of workouts and yay for getting outside for a run! Technical issues drive me nuts, but I’d still prefer to run outside over running on a treadmill.
The tech issues were driving me nuts, but then I remembered that I got a new phone recently so nothing was set up. Next time I get outside it will be better!
Wow, you did a lot of Orange Theory this week! You had a lot of variety, even an outdoor run . Love the memes as always- ahem, WHY do I turn down the music so I can see better??? Does this mean I’m old?
Yes it was a very heavy OTF week and I was feeling it for a few days, lol
Sounds like another great week, but yeah treadmill inclines are rude! As if running on the TM isn’t hard enough!
That yoda meme pretty much sums up every day at my job, lol!!!!
Right?! And the treadmill inclines feel so much harder than any hills outdoors for some reason.
I am really loving Camilla on the tread. Her rides are usually too fast-paced for me.
A 90 min OTF class sounds tough!
I hope you see results from your challenge efforts.
I do not want this week to go quickly because I’m on vacation. 😉
Camila is so awesome on the tread! I feel like she always have SO much energy and i love that.
I don’t do too many OTF 90 minute classes (maybe 1-2 a year) and they always completely kick my butt.
Last week was a s-l-o-w one for me as well…is that a #KimThing? I need to check out the yoga for quads! My quads aren’t tight, so to speak, but I think they need some strengthening (?). So close to that PR on the row benchmark; I”d call that a victory, indeed 😉
LOL, maybe it is a #Kim thing. Of course this week is going by fast, but I don’t mind since I’m taking the day off tomorrow and we have Monday off for President’s Day 🙂
The healthy back focus flow sounds like something I’d need! You had a very solid week of workouts. I’m glad you got to run outside too!
The healthy back flow was super beneficial to me – it felt amazing!
Do the scenic rides just have scenery, or is there an instructor talking? I’ve never taken one.
Good job getting out there for a run! I actually wanted to this week, but most days I just needed to knock it out quickly and the treadmill doesn’t take as long. Plus my runs are so short right now . . . I’m almost always out there to walk Bandit anyway.
Yup! It’s scenery and there a few different radio stations you can choose from if you want music. No instructors.
Great week of classes Kim! These weeks do feel long lately, don’t they? Our mild weather is grinding to an abrupt halt with 50mph wind followed by ice and snow. It sure was nice while it lasted.
I’m not sure why the week feel so long lately. It’s weird because I feel like I am super busy, which means time should go by faster but it doesn’t lol
What do the Peloton classes sound like when you run outside? Do you listen to an outdoor run version when the instructor just talks or do they tell you to speed up/slow down kind of thing? I have been getting through a lot of audiobooks during my runs outside lately. I had originally set a goal of 12 books in 2023 but then I bumped it up to 24! Going for an outdoor run in 50 degrees is a winner for sure!
omg yes on the stereo. Why do we all do that?
I need to do that quad yoga. Thanks for flagging.
Awesome week Kim! Great to hear your Transformation Challenge is going well – those OTF classes sound tough.
Love the memes – Baby Yoda is me on the daily 😉
okay, that’s definitely something I miss from the U.S. Those Thin Mints!
Sounds like a really active week- plus an outdoor run, yay!
