Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week. Nothing too exciting to report this week – just keeping up with my workouts and keeping up with projects at work. I live a very exciting life, lol.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, March 6
New York City Ride (10 minutes)
Chicago Ride (10 minutes)
Antelope Island State Park Ride (10 minutes)
Dancehall Run 12/15/22 – Jess (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
It was Milestone Monday for me at OTF as I finally hit my 500th class! I was super pumped to sign the 500 classes board. There are actually quite a few members at my studio that have hit 500+ classes – one woman just hit 1,000 classes last Sunday which is incredible!
Tuesday, March 7
Warm Up Walk 10/25/22 – Marcel M (10 minutes)
Saturday60: EDM Bootcamp 3/4/23 – Jess (60 minutes)
Coron Ride (10 minutes)
Sydney Sunrise Ride (10 minutes)
Although EDM isn’t my favorite genre of music, Jess selected a lot of songs that I actually liked, which made the class go by faster. The Sydney Sunrise ride was SO beautiful! It made me want to do sunrise workouts – but I know I enjoy my bed a little too much for that, lol.
Wednesday, March 8
Singapore Ride (10 minutes)
Bangkok at Night Ride (10 minutes)
Seville Ride (10 minutes)
Pop Run 9/8/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Extra 10: Walk 3/6/23 – Matty (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – “Infinity” (60 minutes)
Continued with my theme of scenic rides. I just have a few more to complete. It was time for another signature workout at OTF. The “Infinity” workout is prep for the upcoming DriTri taking place in 2 weeks. This workout was rough but I have to give myself a pat on the back for killing this workout. I got a PR for the row block and I was able to get through both sets of floor exercises with very little break in-between sets. Even my coach told me I did a good job zoning in on the exercises so that was encouraging. Hopefully I can have the same type of outcome the day of the DriTri (fingers crossed).
Thursday, March 9
Abu Dhabi Ride (10 minutes)
WHM Two for One Bike Bootcamp 3/8/23 – Assal & Mayla (30 minutes)
Arms & Light Weights 1/31/23 – Cody (10 minutes)
Warm Up Walk 3/8/23 – Tobias (5 minutes)
2010s Run 9/4/22 – Jess (30 minutes)
I didn’t really feel like working out when I woke up so I kind of just pieced this workout together. It did the job and provided a good sweat.
Friday, March 10
Pop Ride 3/8/23 – Sam (30 minutes)
Rock Run 3/8/23 – Susie (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness “Happy Birthday OTF” (60 minutes)
I loved Susie’s rock run – she had an awesome playlist. OTF was celebrating its 13th birthday and they gifted us a ridiculous class with a total of 15 switches. It was intense and reminded me of pre-Covid tornado workouts.
Saturday, March 11
Full Body Strength 3/10/23 (45 minutes)
Fresh Friday Ride 7/26/19 – Denis (45 minutes)
My legs appreciated having a day off from running. I knew I wouldn’t be doing a Lift45 class on Sunday, so I opted to get in a 45 minute strength training class. I’m glad that I have been able to keep my goal of doing at least one 45 min strength class per week. I dug deep into the Peloton vault for this class from 2019 but it was worth it – I love the Fresh Friday rides!
Sunday, March 12
Orangetheory Fitness (90 minutes)
Trap Core Strength 3/10/23 – Adrian (10 minutes)
I closed out the final day of the Transformation Challenge with a 90 minute class earlier this morning. The class was great and overall I was happy with how the challenge went this year. I’ll do my final weight in sometime next week. I did a quick core class to keep my daily Peloton streak alive.
This week’s stats:
Bootcamp – 60 minutes
Cycle – 38.26 miles
Orangetheory Fitness – 270 minutes
Running – 16.5 miles
Strength Training – 65 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 948/952*
*not including rowing classes
Another OTF Transformation Challenge complete! Of course there are always things that I could have done better over the 8-week span, but overall I’m glad that I was able to hit my two main goals:
– Attend more Lift45 classes: I did this 6 out of the 8 weeks. I would have done it today as well if we didn’t have the 90 minute class.
– Prioritize my protein intake: There’s always room for improvement, but I really focused on this and am happy with my progress.
Earlier this week my left knee was giving my a lot of issues. It was sore and it would lock up easily if I was sitting for too long. On Wednesday it was actually aching like a toothache which it’s never done before. Luckily it’s feeling much better now but I’m still going to keep my eye on it.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Your workouts are always impressive.
Hope your knee is ok.
Can’t wait to see what you wear next Friday.
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Darlene. My knee was quiet for the most part last week so I hope it stays that way.
Deborah Brooks says
Way to crush all those OTF classes and goals. Sounds like you made a lot of progress! I have been seriously slacking on the bike miles this year so far. I should revisit some of those scenic ride options. Have a great week ahead!
kookyrunner says
The scenic option is nice for the bike rides, especially if you just need a little break from the instructors π
Jessie says
So true about 1983, ha! Things were different.
Hope the knee pain stays away! Great job on all your fitness this week! I am now a Susie Chan fan π
kookyrunner says
So cool that you were able to take an in-person class with Susie! π
Wendy says
I am always impressed with your workouts! Congrats on #500 at OTF!
Boo to that knee pain. I get intermittent knee pain, ever since I fell on the trails last summer. I do some resistance band work for my VMO and that takes care of it. Grateful for a quick fix!
kookyrunner says
Thanks for the tip on doing band work for knee pain – I will do that this week. Although my knee was pretty quiet last week, I still don’t want to take any chances.
Chocolaterunsjudy says
That school meme is hilarious! Oh yes how times have changed!
Glad to hear the knee feels better. Hopefully it will stay that way!
kookyrunner says
The school meme definitely made me LOL
Kimberly Hatting says
Ok, I have totally missed those scenic rides…I need to find them! I’m doing a long ride tonight (after it finally gets dark, LOL), so I’ll need some entertainment on the bike. Wow…500 OTF classes! You’re a beast (and a consistent one at that)!
kookyrunner says
The scenic rides are only available on the Peloton bike (not the app) unfortunately π I hope that they will change that soon.
Jenn says
Look at you, loading up on all those classes!
I hope your knee is ok! I hate when those random pains crop up.
kookyrunner says
Right? It’s just so annoying when it comes out of nowhere. Thankfully my knee was pretty quiet last week so I hope it stays that way.
Jenny says
Those OTF classes sound intense! Congratulations on completing that challenge. Do you feel any different since you’ve been eating more protein? I’ve also been focusing more on protein- it’s hard to really feel a difference but I’m sure it’s helping.
You have such a variety in your workouts, that should help your knee. I hope it calms down this week!
kookyrunner says
Some days I do feel different with the increase in protein – I will snack less – but other days I don’t feel like it makes me any less hungry. I guess it’s all just trail and error. I’ll keep at it to figure it out.
Debbie says
Congrats on hitting 500 OTF classes!
I hope your knee feels better quickly and doesn’t become a bigger issue. When my son was a little boy he would have called your knee pain a headache in your knee (we sometimes still say that so I couldn’t resist sharing).
kookyrunner says
LOL I love that expression – a headache in my knee – because that’s really what it felt like!
Michelle says
A great line-up of classes as always – congrats on your 500th OTF class! I really hope your knee pain doesn’t turn into something more.
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Michelle!
Coco says
Congrats on 500 OTF classes! And your rowing PR! You worked really hard on the transformation challenge β itβs inspiring.
I hope your knee stays quiet. Mine was bugging me a while ago. Itβs fine now, but I still expect to hear from it when I start down stairs.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Coco! I definitely tried to take the challenge more seriously this year, but I still love cupcakes and pizza LOL
Marcia says
Congrats on 500 OTF workouts and it sounds like the transformation challenge was a success as well. Way to go. Hope your knee is ok!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia!
