Happy Sunday. I hope that everyone had a great week. Although it was a 4-day work week, it felt super long to me. Anyone else feel that way?
Monday, May 30
Pop Punk Run 5/3/22 – Jeffrey (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Core Strength 5/14/22 – Callie (5 minutes)
Bollywood Pilates 5/27/22 – Aditi (20 minutes)
Since it was Memorial Day, I had the day off work and was able to take a late morning OTF class. It was a very spicy workout and I was dripped in sweat by the end. I was kind of sad to see that less than 200 people had taken Jeffrey’s run š Because the classes are in German, I think that’s a huge barrier for a lot of people but I find that the German instructors have some of the BEST playlists and this run was no exception. I don’t listen to it often but I’m a fan of Bollywood music so the pilates class was fun.
Tuesday, May 31
Pre-Run Warm Up 3/12/21 – Matty (5 minutes)
Rock Run 4/17/22 – Becs (45 minutes)
Fleetwood Mac Upper Body Strength 5/13/22 – (30 minutes)
Bodyweight Strength 5/13/22 – Jess (10 minutes)
Bollywood Slow Flow Yoga 5/10/22 – Aditi (30 minutes)
The Fleetwood Mac strength class was pretty decent. Love their songs, but some were a little too slow for lifting. I enjoyed the run with Becs. My knee still isn’t 100% but I noticed that if I stick to 4:1 or 5:1 run/walk intervals it feels good. Surprisingly, I ended up getting my badge for the NYRR Virtual Global Running Day 5K. For some reason I thought you could only earn the badge on Global running Day, so this was a nice surprise.
Wednesday, June 1
Rock Run 4/16/22 – Tobias (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
API Heritage Ride 5/10/22 – Sam (30 minutes)
K-Pop Yoga Flow 5/18/22 – Mariana (20 minutes)
Happy Global Running Day! Started off my day with a 30 min run and then got in some additional miles during my OTF class. The AC unit in the studio isn’t working at full capacity so it was a little warm in the studio which made the workout feel 10x harder.
Today also kicks off Robin’s #3for31 challenge. I’ll be committing to running/walking/jogging 3 miles a day until July 1st.
Thursday, June 2
EDM Run 5/10/22 – Jess (20 minutes)
K-Pop Ride 5/12/22 – Ally (20 minutes)
Bollywood Ride 5/12/22 – Ally (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Morning Meditation 3/15/22 – Anna (10 minutes)
EDM music is not my favorite, but I enjoyed the class with Jess. This was the first OTF class I’ve taken that had built-in power walking sections on the treadmill. Of course, it was at a horrendous incline so it wasn’t easier, just different and nice change of pace. We also had the opportunity to lift heavier during the strength block which was nice. I enjoy doing lower reps at a higher weight.
Friday, June 3
2010’s Walk 5/15/22 – Joslyn (20 minutes)
Dear Evan Hansen Walk 5/20/22 – Jess K (20 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 5/19/22 – Marcel M (5 minutes)
Dear Evan Hansen Ride 5/22/22 – Christine (30 minutes)
Bhangra Ride 5/22/22 – Kendall (15 minutes)
Core Strength 6/1/22 – Logan (10 minutes)
Dear Evan Hansen Yoga Flow 5/20/22 – Ross (30 minutes)
Needed a day off from running so these walking classes were perfect and still allowed me to hit my 3 mile daily goal for the #3for31 challenge. I really enjoyed the Evan Hansen classes. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the play, but still didn’t really know too much about it (the plot, etc). The instructors did a great job of telling some of the story and it really made me want to go see the play. Kendall’s Bhangra ride was great too – this style of music is really upbeat.
Saturday, June 4
API Heritage Live DJ Ride 5/26/22 – Emma (30 minutes)
Warm Up Run 10/23/21 – Jon (5 minutes)
Saturday60: Advanced Full Body 6/4/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Full Body Stretch 6/1/22 – Logan (10 minutes)
As always, Jess must have had her Wheaties before class because this one was insane. It was advanced and she definitely programmed it as such, lol.
Sunday, June 5
Low Impact Ride 5/16/22 – Emma (30 minutes)
Warm Up Run 5/26/22 – Joslyn (5 minutes)
Hip Hop Run 6/5/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Post-Run Stretch 6/2/22 – Jess (10 minutes)
House Yoga Flow 5/26/22 – Nico (20 minutes)
I used the low impact ride as a warm up for my legs and kept the resistance pretty low. When I first saw the 60 minute class on the schedule I thought it was an error since Jess teaches the Saturday60. Turns out it was correct as she was filling in for another instructor. Jess hasn’t taught a 60 minute run since 2019 so I knew it would be good. I treated it more as a walk/run since my legs were feeling heavy from the bootcamp, but it was still really good, and I got to celebrate my 450th run with the #yougettocrew.
Summary:
Running – 21.83 miles
Cycle – 36.06 miles
Strength Training – 70 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Bootcamp – 60 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 606/620
How did you celebrate Global Running Day? For the past few years I have run virtually with amazing women and this year was no different.

Thanks to Cari for making this collage from our photos!
This week, Logan Aldridge debuted as Peloton’s first adaptive strength instructor.
He will teach both traditional strength classes and adaptive strength classes. The adaptive classes will be full-body strength workouts for athletes with varying physical abilities ā seated and standing classes with adaptations, accommodations, and modifications. So far I’ve taken a core and stretch class with him and I enjoyed both a lot! Although Peloton is far from perfect, one thing I do love about the company is that they try to be inclusive of everyone – different physical abilities, race, gender, sexuality, etc.
…and now for this week’s memes.

Thanks to Deborah for sending me this one!
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

That subtitles meme is me in a nutshell lately lol!
Glad the intervals are helpful with your knee. Congrats on hitting run #450! I like Jess’ runs so I’ll have to remember to bookmark that 60 min run.
Have a great week ahead!
That meme made me laugh so hard, lol.
Definitely bookmark the run from today – great playlist and quite a few listening games too.
Wow, you did a lot this week. You really are the Peloton queen! I took Denis’s Fleetwood Mac yoga class, which I liked- I agree their music may not be as great for lifting. Glad you got to run on Global Running Day! It seems like most of us got a run in on that day.
I loved that so many of us celebrated Global Running Day with a run – seems fitting for the day š
I did like the Peleton runs. Good luck with the 3 mi challenge.
What a workout filled week.
Love the memes. That is my sleep pattern exactly.
Thanks Darlene!
OMG, love the subtitles meme. Hah!
I keep meaning to take some German runs outdoors where I care less about the cuing. I think there are even some German outdoor runs ā¦.
Iām not sure even Jess could get me to take an EDM class, although she has a new Outdoor EDM class ā¦..
4 day weeks always drag on for me too!
I just saw that there were also German outdoor classes so I may try to do a few of those this summer if they have great playlists.
OMG, I saw that subtitles meme and ALMOST sent it to you š I always wonder how much my true feelings are betrayed by my facial expressions when I’m trying to keep the eyerolls to myself. Dang, you had an active week, #KimTwin! I’m looking forward to doing some more of Logan’s classes, too. I agree, Peloton is very inclusive with all their instructors š
Oh I don’t have a poker face at all – if I don’t like something, I can’t hide it. But this is why masks really work for me because people can’t see my facial expressions when I am annoyed lol.
OMG. All of those memes. Especially the 8:30 one. “Do you want to watch another episode?” “No, I’m going to bed”
I can’t wait to do Logan’s classes.
Congratulations on 450!
You will really like Logan’s classes!
You have given me some ideas for classes, I am really amazed by Logan so far! I have done a few of his classes and excited to try more. Fun running w you globally on GRD! Have a great week
Logan really knocked it out of the park with his first few classes – I’m so impressed!
I’m glad to hear your knee is feeling better. You’d never know you were having issues with all the classes you do!
We often joke at work that we’re glad we have to wear masks because it hides most of our expressions, lol.
LoL that’s how i feel about masks too, especially when I come across someone annoying in the store or during an OTF class.
Great week!
We did start a movie that late the other night! I think I’m still paying for it! This old lady can’t do it anymore!
I totally can’t stay up late anymore either!
For real – movies have to start by 8pm!! Great workouts this week! It was for sure the longest week for me, even though I only made it to 9 hours of work š You had mentioned only 200 people took that class – how many do you normally see one a similar class?
Usually classes will have 1,000+ people that have taken the class, so that is why I was bummed when I saw 200 š Hopefully more people have taken it by now.
