Happy Sunday š It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I can’t believe just a few more days until Christmas, and then just a little over a week until 2020. It’s crazy how time flies.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, December 16
Peloton Cycle – 60 minutes.
Mondays are the hardest day of the week for me when it comes to workouts, so I try to make workouts on this day fun. Cody is my favorite Peloton instructor so it was nice to spend some time with him on the bike!
I also got an awesome package from BibRave. I can’t wait to rick this gear in the New Year š
Tuesday, December 17
4 mile run.
An unexpected work from home day (due to ice/snow) resulting in an early morning treadmill run.
Wednesday, December 18
Orangetheory Fitness (ESP) – 60 minutes
Overall the class was great but the Bosu ball moves had my abs SCREAMING! Holy crap it was hard, and my abs were sore for days after.
Speaking of OTF, the coaches from my studio attended a Tri-State Holiday Party last weekend and they won the “All Out” award. They were given this award for being the fastest growing studio in the tri-state area. I think’s that HUGE considering they beat out studios in CT, NY and NJ!!
Thursday, December 19
Rest Day.
I had a lot to do this day, including working from our NYC office, so I knew that I wouldn’t be able to get in a workout, which was fine. I was not happy about having to go into NYC since it was super cold and he trains were late – as usual!
Friday, December 20
OrangeTheory Fitness (Strength) – 60 minutes
I love strength workouts because we get to lift heavier on the floor and work with inclines on the treadmill.
Saturday, December 21
OrangeTheory Fitness (Endurance) “Ellen” Workout – 60 minutes
I usually don’t do OTF on Saturdays but I couldn’t miss the special Ellen workout. This workout was in honor of Ellen Latham’s (founder of OTF) birthday. The workout featured some of her favorite things – push paces on the treadmill, lots of rowing and quality time with the TRX and Bosu on the floor.
This was also Coach Alison’s last day as she’s moving to Florida š She’s such a sweetheart and you can tell that she loves coaching. I’ll miss her, but know that she will totally kick butt in Florida!
Sunday, December 22
Peloton Cycle – 60 minutes.
Started off my day with 60 minutes of cycle. I took a 15 minute hip hop class and then followed that up with a 45 min live rock ride, which happened to be my 150th cycle class!
Total Weekly Mileage: 10 miles
Summary: 4 runs, 5 cycle classes and 3 OTF workouts
Grade This Week ā A
I’m happy with my workouts this week as it reflects a bit more balance. I still have some work to do but I feel like there was a better mix of running, OTF and cycle this week. It’s so hard for me to find a balance since I pretty much like everything, LOL.
Toward the end of the week I received my gifts from the Sweatpink Secret Santa gift exchange – I loved everything!
Speaking of gifts, I almost purchased these mints as a small gift to myself because they just look so funny. Funny fact – I was obsessed with Bob Ross as a kid and I would watch his show and try to paint like him. He was the best!
Do you have any fun plans for the holidays? No matter what you do, I hope you have a happy, safe, healthy and fun time celebrating with friends and family š
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

I love that package that you got from Bib Rave, such a happy bright red color.
Will you be off next week or do you still have to go to work?
kookyrunner says
Thanks Catrina! I’m working next week but it will be very quiet so I’ll use the time to catch up on a few things.
Kimberly Hatting says
What a week, #KimTwin!!!! Major sweat equity for YOU! Looks like you’re going to the right OTF studio š Congrats, again, on the 150! You probably can’t see it, but I’m fist-bumping the screen in your honor š
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Kim! š I was glad to hit 150 rides today. I’ve been neglecting my bike lately so I want to make sure that I make more time for it.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Such great gifts from the gift exchange & Bibrave! Enjoy!
When you actually do like to do different types of activity, it’s definitely very challenging to squeeze them all in.
I’d like to say we have fun plans, but that would be a big fat lie. Well, I will make some TJs Latkes with dinner tonight. š
kookyrunner says
I agree! I’ve already tried the tea and it’s so tasty š
Marcia says
Great workout week for you! I think you’re balancing out the variety really well. OMG Bob Ross! I used to be mesmerized by his show and how his artwork came together!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Marcia!
That’s exactly how I feel about Bob Ross – just something about his painting style and soothing voice always drew me into the show.
Zenaida Arroyo says
How awesome is that award! And yes I agree that your studio beat those in NY! I see your mom sporting her Brooks Ghost. I have the same and love them. I don’t run in them anymore but use them for casual wear. Not sure what we are doing for Christmas Eve but my cousin invited us over to her house on Christmas. Should be lots of fun!
kookyrunner says
up, my mom likes the Ghost and Levitate sneakers. Hope you have a lot of fun on Christmas Eve and Christmas!
Wendy says

Wow look at your mom at OTF! You two are the dynamic duo for sure. I need to try some of the new Peloton instructors. You know it’s hard for me to leave Dennis š
kookyrunner says
LoL I totally understand. For a long time I would only do classes taught by Robyn and Cody but I’ve been branching out more.
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Such an awesome week for you! And I am just a little jelly of that BibRave half zip š

I have to admit that the winter hat and the half zip were my favorite items!
