Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a good week and is currently spending the holiday with family and friends.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, December 19
Linkin Park Run 12/14/22 – Jermaine (30 minutes)
Linkin Park Ride 12/14/22 – Kendall (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
These Linkin Park classes were perfection. I’ve been waiting for this artist series to happen for a few years and it’s great to see that all of the classes were amazing.
Tuesday, December 20
Warm Up Run 3/16/22 – Jermaine (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 11/26/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Hanukkah Ride 12/18/22 – Bradley (20 minutes)
Hanukkah Cool Down Ride 12/18/22 – Bradley (10 minutes)
The bootcamp class was very spicy, but in a good way. Also, I love that Peloton introduced Hanukkah classes this year for their Holiday themed collection. It’s a simple way to make the holidays inclusive for all.
Wednesday, December 21
Holiday Run 12/18/22 – Susie (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Holiday Yoga Flow 12/17/22 – Aditi (30 minutes)
This was a fun holiday run with Susie! She had quite a few holiday songs on the playlist that I have never heard of so it was nice to discover new songs. I did the run as more of a walk/run since my legs felt a little tired.
Thursday, December 22
Holiday Standing Core 12/17/22 – Rebecca (20 minutes)
Holiday Chest & Back Strength 12/21/22 – Ben (10 minutes)
Pop Run 12/22/22 – Jess (20 minutes)
Core Bootcamp 5/27/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Holiday Ride 12/19/22 – Christine (20 minutes)
Whitney Houston Full Body Stretch 12/21/22 – Marcel M (20 minutes)
It was time for my 600th run and luckily Jess was teaching an early morning run that worked perfectly with my schedule. The standing core class was an adventure, lol. It felt more like dance choreography and it was way too early in the morning for me to try to memorize different moves.
Friday, December 23
Linkin Park Run 12/14/22 – Tobias (30 minutes)
Whitney Houston Ride 12/21/22 – Erik (30 minutes)
Holiday Arms & Shoulders 12/21/22 – Ben (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
I absolutely loved the Linkin Park run with Tobias. I always say that his energy can power you through any run. Erik’s Whitney Houston ride was fun as well. The OTF template was excellent – the first template I have enjoyed from start to finish in a long time.
Saturday, December 24
Warm Up Walk 7/28/22 – Jon (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Pop Bootcamp 12/3/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Whitney Houston Warm Up Ride 12/21/22 – Leanne (5 minutes)
Whitney Houston Ride 12/22/22 – Ally (30 minutes)
Whitney Houston Cool Down Ride 12/21/22 – Leanne (5 minutes)
Whitney Houston Post-Ride Stretch 12/21/22 – Mila (10 minutes)
The weather was ridiculously frigid so it was a good day for an indoor workout.
The Saturday60 bootcamp was really good. Jess had lots of isolation movements for the strength blocks. I love doing single sided moves because it really highlights my weak spots. The Whitney Houston ride was pretty painful – I’m not sure why Ally picked so many of Whitney’s slower songs for the class. It was hard to get motivated.
Sunday, December 25
Holiday Run 12/20/22 – Camila (20 minutes)
Holiday Walk + Run 12/19/22 – Joslyn (20 minutes)
Whitney Houston Arms & Shoulders 12/21/22 – Rebecca (20 minutes)
Holiday Glutes & Legs 12/23/22 – Callie (30 minutes)
Whitney Houston Slow Flow Yoga 12/21/22 – Nico (30 minutes)
Merry Christmas! I knocked out my workout early so I could spend all day enjoying presents, food and family!
Summary:
Running – 24.38 miles
Cycle – 31.01 miles
Bootcamp – 150 minutes
Strength Training – 90 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 905/916
Each year I build a gingerbread house and each year it comes out horrible, lol. This year was no different but I mixed things up a bit and build an Oreo house and not a traditional gingerbread house.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.

Thanks for sharing this one Cari

Thanks for sending me this one Deborah!
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

That looks like a good week of workouts! Wow, 6F, that is quite cold and I’m so happy I don’t have to face such temperatures anymore. I love your memes, I couldn’t agree more about the career development one.. although I’ve only worked for a short time in a setting where you’re forced into unnecessary meetings. My husband on the other hand… poor man 😄
Luckily it’s not always that cold here! We’re in a cold snap now but it will be almost 60 degrees on Friday which is crazy.
Sometimes half of my day is either meetings that could have been an email or meetings that I didn’t need to be on, lol.
Merry Christmas! I love all your holiday themed classes.
I think we had 15 straight years of building horrible looking gingerbread houses- finally this year the kids said they didn’t want to do it, PHEW! But we made up for it by decorating some horrible looking cookies, ha ha.
I just recently heard a Carrie Underwood song called “Stretchy Pants”… it’s pretty funny. I have any number of sweat pants that could be worn on New Year’s Eve- there’s a good chance I could be home alone and that’s just fine with me. Hope you had a great day!
Haha – Decorating ugly gingerbread houses or ugly cookies truly is a Christmas tradition.
That stretchy pants song sounds hilarious – I never heard of it before.
Congrats on a great week of workouts! I love that you fit today’s workouts in early before the festivities of the day took over. Merry Christmas!
Thanks Debbie! Yup, I usually always work out in the mornings anyway so at least my body is used to early morning workouts.
I did Jess’ run (Friday? or yesterday?) and I heard your shout-out (obviously, it was on demand and not live)! Another solid week of fitness, #KimTwin! You are the master of all the artist series! I’m very hit/miss on them…I tend to get bored if I hear the same songs over & over (except for Def Leppard…there’s a couple of their classes I have on repeat).
How did you like the run? I really liked her playlist!
Sometimes I tend to get bored with the same songs over and over, but i I really like the artist I don’t mind, lol.
We used to build a gingerbread house with the boys every year! They looked crazy in the best way. I loved all those traditions. I was tempted to make one this year, but I decided against it. I’d probably eat most of it anyways, lol
I’m glad to see you got all your workouts in–this cold week was no joke! I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and that all your family is healthy and happy!
It’s always so tempting to eat it after you build it, lol. I’ve never seen an Oreo one before so it was pretty cool to do that this year.
LOL on the gingerbread house. At least it still tastes good! Mine never come out looking good either. You hit up all the Peloton holiday classes! Way to get done on a busy week. Hope you and the fam had a lovely Christmas
So true – it ay not look pretty but it still tastes good, lol.
I hope that you had a great time in Aruba 🙂
Another great week of workouts.
I need a new phone because the battery dies in the cold and I have been running sans music or podcasts. Boo.
I think your house is cute.
As usual, your memes made me chuckle!
Glad that the memes made you chuckle 🙂
Our gingerbread house kit is still in it’s box, so I give you kudos for making your own! And LOL on the dance choreography. That’s how I felt when I used to go to step class back in the day. It took me several classes to finally go the same direction as the rest of the class!
I have taken one step class in my life and I was so bad that it was comical LOL
Well you definitely sound chipper this week Kim! Sounds like you had a very good Christmas indeed — I’m glad! You just made me realize I haven’t been doing much and I think I might have broken my Peloton streak — just looked, and yes, for the first week this year (last week) I did nothing on Peloton. Oh well. Time for a new streak. 🙂
Look at it this way – you can start a brand new Peloton streak right before the start of the new year!
I was so close to sweatpants on NYE. Not anymore. Boo.
Looks like a festive and fabulous week of workouts. I hope you had a very, Merry Christmas!
I think I may upgrade to wearing one of my fleece onesies for NYE this year, just to mix things up, lol.
