Happy Monday! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? It’s crazy how fast time flies!
So….because I love music so much, and I always run with music, I’m thinking of starting a weekly #MusicMonday post on my blog. Yay or nay? If this is something you’d like to see, let me know!
I love music – rap, r&b, pop, rock – I pretty much love it all. Back in the day (90s) I used to make at least one CD every week. I loved burning music to CDs to make my own playlist. As I got older, I upgraded to using mp3 players – Zune (yes, I owned a Zune), Sandisk, and a few others, before finally buying an i-pod last year. After I got my i-pod I discovered that iTunes is the best thing ever. I can always find new songs to buy since I’m always looking to update my playlist.
Instead of listing a bunch of songs, I thought I would focus on one music artist that I love – Missy Elliot. After way too many years away, she blessed us with a new song and video release last week. Have you heard her new song WTF (Where They From)?
This song is my new jam! The reason Missy Elliot is timeless is because she makes really unique, feel-good music. This is a song I would blast when I’m doing a hill workout.
Okay, let’s take it back to classic Missy. These songs are also on my i-pod in heavy rotation.
I usually play these songs when I’m running, but they would be great for boxing, Crossfit or lifting weights. Also I just wanted to add that you can download the ‘clean’ version of these songs (I usually download the clean versions of songs).
