I’m in the home stretch! I find it crazy that I have completed 15 weeks of training and only a few days stand between me and the marathon. At this point I’m just super excited and cannot wait for next Sunday! I’m still enjoying the taper so this week was nice and easy.
Monday
6 mile run.
Tuesday
4 mile run. Weather was perfect and I think this may have been the best run of my training cycle. I felt like I could have kept running for a while!
Wednesday
60 minute body works class.
Thursday
5 mile tempo run and lots of foam rolling/stretching.
Friday
Rest day are the best days! π
Saturday
10 mile long run. My LAST long run before the marathon! This was a perfect run and the weather was great! It started off a little cold but then it warmed up. This run felt effortless and I got a chance to try out the CW-X leggings I will probably wear for the race. Overall I was very happy with this run and it was a good confidence booster going into the marathon!
Sunday
60 minute spinning class. I like spinning as a recovery for my legs after a long run.
Total Miles β 25 miles
Training Cycle β 437.65 miles
Grade β A+
I pretty much enjoyed all of my workouts this week. I’m just super excited to get to the starting line! I feel like I’ve put in the work during training and I’m happy with most of my long runs, especially the two 20-mile runs. My legs are starting to feel great and ready to run a 26.2 mile block party!
I also want to take this time to thank everyone that reads my blog or follows me on social media. You have all given me words of wisdom and advice for the marathon and it’s been SUPER helpful! Truth be told, I was a nervous wreck when I first started this process but now I feel ready and confident to tackle my 1st marathon. THANK YOU!!
If you have any training tips, please let me know in the comments β I welcome any advice!
Iβm linking up with Holly and Tricia for their Weekly Wrap.
Iβm also Linking Up with the Jessβs (Jess Runs Atlanta and Jess @ The Right Fits) for their new link up for training recaps!
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog!
