Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: Why are you thankful for running? You can write about this or any running related topic. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
Why am I thankful for running? I’m always thankful for the ability to run, and exercise in general. Coming off of the last few years, running and exercise has helped me deal with so much.
I’m thankful to running for introducing me to amazing women
Running has introduced me to some pretty amazing women. I know for a fact that I would have never met them if not for running, so for that I am always so thankful. These women are a constant source of support and information – I learn so much from them!
I’m thankful to running for my virtual support system.
I’m so thankful for my amazing network of running and blogging friends. Runners are a bit of a crazy breed, so it’s nice to have friends to talk to about virtual races, injuries, Peloton, etc.
I am thankful to running for allowing me to come out of my shell
I am an introvert by nature. I really enjoy my alone and quiet time, which can sometimes hinder me from trying new things or meeting new people. Running has allowed me break out of my shell and be more open to these things. I no longer feel like a wallflower and have an easier time striking up conversations with people and really putting myself out there.
Tell me: Why are you thankful for running?
I hope that you have an amazing Thanksgiving with friends and family!

Your first point hits home. All the friendships that have been formed through running! It’s very special.
Just today I went running with a couple from Germany that are visiting us in Cape Town. We jogged along for many hours without ever running out of a conversation topic!

Where do I even start? Running has done all of the above for me as well. And, drum roll, it brought me a valuable friendship with my #KimTwin <3 I wished we lived closer; it withdrew be fun to share our conversations & laughs in person 🙂
