Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Topics! This week’s topic asks – What’s on your Summer Bucket List??
Remember to Link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post!
Summer 2020 will definitely be a different type of Summer. Obviously no one could have predicted that COVID-19 would drastically change all of our plans this year, especially when it comes to traveling. Although I’ll be staying close to home this Summer, I still have some bucket list items to make this season fun and interesting.
Complete all the Peloton “Artist Series” Classes
Peloton’s “Artist Series” classes are direct collaborations and partnerships with music artists. The workouts exclusively feature the tunes of one music artist. As of today, there are 81 classes available (cycle, run and yoga) and I’ve completed 32. Some of my favorite Artist Series classes that I’ve taken so far include Lady Gaga, Coldplay, P!nk, Backstreet Boys and Lizzo. Peloton releases 1-2 new Artist Series classes a month but I still have faith that I can finish all the classes by the end of August!
Visit a Winery
I think Connecticut has a few wineries so I thought this might be a fun day trip to do at some point in the summer. Hopefully it would be easy to following social distancing there? I’m not sure since I’ve never been to a winery so I’ll have to do some research.
Tell me: What’s on your summer bucket list?

The bucket list is kind of empty, isn’t it? This is definitely the summer of the little things. It’s also a good time to reflect on what is really important.
kookyrunner says
Definitely a very small bucket list. So hard to plan anything with so many unknowns.
Kimberly Hatting says
I’ve said it several times, but this will be a summer like no other LOL At least it won’t be snowing 😉 We have some local wineries in the area…that’s a great suggestion. WE can be #winerytwinning (virtually), of course.
kookyrunner says
Let me know if you decide to visit a winery this summer!
Catrina says
A winery tour! I am sure that’s doable with keeping the physical distance to others.
I would love to do more hiking in the Swiss mountains. There are so many beautiful sights to visit and there is still so much I haven’t seen yet.
kookyrunner says
I hope so! I’ll have to call and see what they have in place for social distancing measures.
Hiking in the Swiss mountains sounds awesome!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Well, wineries used to be crowded places — inside, for tasting — but I’m sure they can set up tables outside & social distance.
Thanks for turning me on to the artist’s series! I have a Pink ride bookmarked for today. 🙂
I suppose my bucket list item is staying healthy . . . I have to admit I long to go somewhere (anywhere — well, almost) but I don’t think it’s gonna happen. Although I’m feeling an urge to look at Airbnbs . . .
kookyrunner says
The P!nk ride was good! I don’t take Christine’s rides often but I loved the message that she shared during the ride. Not all of the Artist Series classes are great (depending on your taste in music) but I appreciate being exposed to new-to-me artists.
I would love to travel, I really miss it 🙁 I just keep telling myself that 2021 will be the year of travel lol.
Darlene says
A wine tour sounds awesome.
If our gym ever open I may try Peleton again.
I miss my NYC trips.
Looking forward to just running and hiking this summer.
kookyrunner says
I found a winery less than an hour away so I think we may actually end up doing a wine tour which should be fun!
Montana @ Pretty Lil Mudder says
My bucket list for the summer is just to be able to enjoy myself at Universal and keep training for fall races that hopefully will not be cancelled! Haha!
kookyrunner says
I think that’s a perfect bucket list. It’s hard to know how to plan anything at the moment which makes having a bucket list kinda hard, lol.
Denise @runheartfit says
The peloton artists series sounds like fun. I was just saying how I need to add some music to my playlist.
I think visiting a winery is perfect. It’s usually pretty low key and easy to social distance. Enjoy!
kookyrunner says
It’s nice to do the classes in the series because they do expose me to new songs which is always a great thing!
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
I’ll have to check out the run and yoga classes from the artists series – sounds like fun!
I did not know CT had wineries – wine tastings can be a lot of fun. I think social distancing should be possible. I hope you get to go!
kookyrunner says
Yoga is not my thing but I’m hoping having music I can sing along to will help, lol.
Deborah Brooks says
you have inspired me to dig deeper into the artist series classes and try a few new to me! Wineries are always fun to visit. We are still doing zoom wine tastings w friends too
kookyrunner says
I can’t say that I have loved all of the Artist Series classes, but they do expose me to new songs which I’m always thankful for!
Zoom wine tastings sound like a lot of fun!
Shathiso says
Best of luck finishing the peloton artists series! Given how consistent you’ve been I think you can definitely do that before end of August!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much! I’m hoping that I can stay consistent throughout the summer.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
Summer bucket list? HaHaHa! Actually, we were just talking about when to go to the beach. Unfortunately, our AC is broken at our beach house and we can’t get anyone there to fix it for three weeks. Sadly, our son and his girlfriend had to cancel their trip there for next week because of that. We’re thinking of going for two weeks in September.
kookyrunner says
OH man, that’s a total bummer about the AC at the beach house 🙁 Going in September still sounds like a great option!
Zenaida Arroyo says
A winery! Yes! We should go to CA for that. 🙂 I did two classes from the Artist Series-Ricky Martin and Backstreet Boys. They were OK.
kookyrunner says
Yeah, not all of the Artist Series rides are great, but I’m learning more about “new to me” artists which is nice.
