Happy New Year and welcome to the first Tunes Tuesday of 2018!!
New to Tunes Tuesday? Here’s the nitty gritty. Tunes Tuesday is a once a month link up. We will have a different theme each month and the link-up will open on the first Tuesday of that month. You can find a complete list of the 2018 themes here. This month we’re focusing on Resolution Jams!
It’s the start of a new year which usually means crowded gyms, more self-care and more of an emphasis on healthy eating. I’m in agreement with all of that, well except for the crowded gyms! With a new routine comes a need for motivation. I’ve always found motivation through music. Here are a few songs that I think would be great to add to a new workout playlist. Some of these songs are upbeat and one even has the word ‘Resolution’ in the title! I hope you add some of these songs to your playlist!

I remember listening to “Stronger” when training for a marathon in 2013. It always gave me a little extra motivation! Born to Run is a great one too!

It’s such a good strong – probably one of my favorite Kelly Clarkson songs! Born to Run always give me extra energy during a workout!

Happy New Year! You have some great picks – I haven’t heard that Aaliyah song in ages…they need to add her music to Spotify! Here’s to kicking 2018 strong!

Happy New Year Janelle! I’m surprised that Aaliyah’s music isn’t added to Spotify yet! I hope that changes soon.

I love that Kelly Clarkson song! And I forgot about that Eminem song. I think I need that on repeat this year. A song I always return to is “Eye of the Tiger.” Cheesy, yes, but it’s just so motivating!!!

I’m not much of an Eminem fan, but Lose Yourself is a great song with an awesome message. I have it on my playlist…and it’s one of those songs that pops up at times when I seem to need it most LOL…for me, it’s all about survival and seizing the moment 😉
kookyrunner says
Lose Yourself will always be one of my top 5 songs of all time – I just love it!

I think Kelly Clarkson can have a song for every theme. I didn’t realize how much I liked her music!
