Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a great week. It was another rainy week, which I guess is expected for this month, but I would love to see the sun every now and then. I wasn’t online too much this week due to work so I apologize if I haven’t commented on your blogs this week – I’m still playing a bit of catch up.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, April 4
Intervals Run 10/24/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 10/23/21 – Jon (10 minutes)
WHM: Arms & Shoulders Strength 3/18/21 – Matty (30 minutes)
Pride Yoga Flow 6/30/19 – Ross (45 minutes)
#nevermissamonday, but on this day I almost did. I didn’t feel well in the morning but was able to get in these classes after logging off work for the day. Matty’s arms and shoulders class was great – pretty standard/easy moves, but a good amount of repetition.
Tuesday, April 5
Lil Nas X Run 4/1/22 – Robin (20 minutes)
Dance Music Ride 3/15/22 – Ben (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Glass Animals Pilates 4/1/22 – Anna (20 minutes)
I enjoyed all of these classes, especially the dance music ride with Ben. I think because he was so pumped about the ride, that it made it more fun for me too.
Wednesday, April 6
Latin Celebration Ride 10/5/19 – Hannah C (30 minutes)
Latin Celebration Run 9/30/19 – Selena (45 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 12/16/21 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Arms & Shoulders Strength 8/5/21 – Jess (10 minutes)
Both latin celebration classes were really good – great playlists and they were more intermediate level.
Thursday, April 7
EDM Run 3/24/22 – Daniel (20 minutes)
Pop Ride 4/3/21 – Olivia (30 minutes)
Orangethery Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Core Strength 4/5/22 – Jess (20 minutes)
I haven’t taken a class with Daniel in a while and forgot how much I love his crazy energy. He’s so much fun! I’m actually still sore from this core class and it’s been days.
Friday, April 8
WHM Celebration Run 3/8/20 – Rebecca (45 minutes)
EDM Ride 5/2/21 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
Bodyweight Strength 8/3/19 – Jess (20 minutes)
EDM music is starting to grow on me! The ride with Hannah was fun. The bodyweight strength class was advanced and holy cow was that hard. Jess has a way of making a 20 minute class feel like an hour, lol.
Saturday, April 9
Power Zone Ride 5/1/21 – Matt (60 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (60 minutes)
Barre 4/30/21 – Ally (30 minutes)
I really enjoyed the power zone class. I don’t particularly love PZ rides but I can do them every now and then. Surprisingly I also enjoyed the barre class, even though my glutes are really feeling the burn today. It’s rare, but I didn’t enjoy my OTF class at all. I went to a class at a time I normally don’t and the energy was just off. Class was crowded, people didn’t allow enough space on the floor to do the moves properly, the workout was odd – it was just a mess.
Sunday, April 10
New Wave Ride 4/30/21 – Mayla (30 minutes)
Rock Ride 4/30/21 – Bradley (30 minutes)
Full Body Strength 10/14/20 – Jess (45 minutes)
I’m working my way through all of the rides from last year’s Homecoming event. It’s great because there’s so much variety between the instructors, playlists and type of ride. The New Rave ride featured a lot of 80s hits and the rock ride had a ton of hits from the 90s and 00s, plus Bradley is just a ball of energy on the bike. I haven’t taken a 45 minute strength class with Jess in a while so I’m sure I’ll be feeling that for the next few days.
Summary:
Running – 17.4 miles
Cycle – 50.45 miles
Strength Training – 175 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 150 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 550/550
Not too much to report this week. Still super busy but very happy that I can still get my workouts in. I’m also in disbelief that Easter is next Sunday. April is flying by at warp speed. A few days ago I found out I won a giveaway from PeloTalk – a nice unexpected surprise and I can definitely put that Starbucks gift card to use 🙂

You always take the best variety of classes! I’m impressed by that 45 min yoga class. I really don’t like EDM classes. I wish it wasn’t Daniel’s favorite type of music!

Oh yes- I know a bit about Jess Sims. You’ll definitely be feeling that class. Yes- I can’t believe Easter is in a week! That kind of crept up on me. I’m sending my son his Easter package and had to scramble to get it all put together.
Sounds like you had a great week of workouts as usual! And yes- I’ve definitely tested positive for needing a vacation, ha ha.

Barre is definitely a hit or miss with me, but I do prefer the shorter classes.

Easter is late this year and I STILL feel like it crept up on us! I think the bad weather makes me think it’s earlier in the year than it actually is. Nice variety of workouts this week Kim! Hope work settles down for you soon.

I agree – Easter probably felt like it was far away since parts of the country were still dealing with snow and cold weather.

I think I missed that Jess 20 m core will have to check it out. Always impressed by the variety of classes you take. I actually tried a pilates class w Hannah and liked it 🙂 The memes still make me laugh. Hope you have a sunny week ahead

The Jess class is relatively new – I think Peloton dropped like 40 strength classes a few days ago and that class was included.

We had sun today too – I was so happy, lol. Sometimes it can be depressing working from home when it’s cold and rainy and gloomy outside. It really just makes me want to nap, lol.

No races lined up this year. I’m just not craving going back to races yet – primarily because I keep my runs pretty short now. I’ll probably sign up for some races next year.

I’m with you on the EDM music – definitely wasn’t my favorite but it is growing on me….slowly lol!
You always have such a great mix of classes! I hope the workouts are providing some stress relief from how busy work has been. Any days off planned?
I cannot believe Easter is next weekend – the days are flying by.

LOL, yes it’s a very slow process for me to at least tolerate now. some EDM songs are definitely better than others.
No days off yet but I’m taking off the week of May 9th and have already started a countdown – there’s light at the end of the tunnel!

I worked on transcriptions of interviews with a load of EDM DJs a while back so weirdly I know quite a lot about it without knowing much about it, if you know what I mean. I know the British interviewer was a bit shocked by how massive the clubs and residencies are and how drug and even alcohol free! Ha! Anyway, well done on a good week and we’re all playing catch-up, right?!

Work is still crazy but I can kind of see the light at the end of the tunnel. Things should even out by early May!

The rain can take a dang hike. I’m over it. Over it. Our yard is just saturated, and I think we had a mini tornado that really jacked up our fence. Not ok.
