Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week. Can you believe that it’s the last day of March? That means 1/4 of the year is already over. I’m not sure where the time goes!
It was another busy week for me as I was working out of our Eagan, Minnesota office for 3 days. I also took next week off so I had to work pretty late on Friday to make sure I finished up a few things for multiple projects. Let’s just say, I’m looking forward to the time off!
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, March 25
Treadmill, Stationary Bike and Elliptical (10 minutes each) + Weights (15 minutes).
I utilized the hotel gym for a morning workout. The gym was small but had everything that I needed to get in a good workout.
Tuesday, March 26
3 mile walk.
I didn’t sleep well Monday night so I didn’t get in a workout before work. Luckily it was still light outside when I left work so I went for a 3 mile walk around the area near the hotel.
Wednesday, March 27
Rest Day.
Between another restless night and flying back home, this turned out to be an unexpected rest day. I didn’t get home until late in the evening and I was too tired to do anything. Luckily while I was waiting in the airport I did get to read some more of ‘Race Everything’ by Bart Yasso.
Thursday, March 28
Spinning (30 minutes) + 3 mile run.
I was happy to be back home for this workout!
Friday, March 29
Rest Day!
Saturday, March 30
4 mile run.
Since my birthday is Monday, the ladies in my run crew surprised me with a birthday tiara and “medal”. They also all wore party hats for the photo. I really don’t make a big deal around my birthday so I was really shocked – it was so nice of them!

I wish my eyes weren’t closed!
Sunday, March 31
Spinning (60 minutes).
Today I hit another Peloton milestone – 75 spinning cycling classes!! It was a fun ride π

WOOHOO!
Total Weekly Mileage: 7 miles
Summary: 2 runs, 3 spinning classes and 1 strength training workouts
Grade This Week β B+
This wasn’t the most active week but that’s okay (pretty low mileage) but that’s because I started to have that uncomfortable feeling in my left foot again. I guess you never really “get rid” of PF. The good thing is that it’s feeling much better now than it did earlier in the week. I want to make sure that I can get through my race next Saturday pain free so I have no problem falling back on the running this week and next week.
I ended the month with 56 miles. I was planning on running another 4 miles today to hit 60 miles for the month but decided to rest my foot, which I think was the best decision (plus I’m planning on running tomorrow).
This morning I tried out a new church in my town and I have to say that it was a great first impression! The members were warm and welcoming and the vibe was just very positive. They also do a lot of work in the community as well which is a huge plus in my book. I’m going to continue to keep going to make sure it’s a good fit.
This evening I found out that I won a giveaway on Instagram – $50 bucks worth of pizza – score! This will help when I go into a pizza coma after Lent is over, lol.

HOORAY!!
That’s it! I hope you had a great week π
Iβm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Oh the irony to win pizza during Lent! Haha! Cheers to 75 Peloton classes! That is amazing! Good call to rest your foot. I hope you have a wonderful birthday week!
LOL right?! I have to laugh when I saw the notification fro Instagram on my phone.
Yay pizza! Birthday runs are so much fun. Happiest of birthdays to you. A few days off sounds like the perfect way to celebrate. Enjoy some rest before your race next weekend. Thanks for linking up
Thanks so much Deborah!
Congrats on the 75 class milestone! Sorry you’re feeling some discomfort – good call on resting your foot. Hopefully, PF will stay at bay.
A week off for your birthday sounds like a good way to celebrate! Enjoy π
Thanks Michelle! I ran today and it was okay so I’m hoping the PF will just quiet down so I can have a fun race on Saturday.
Happy birthday! And congrats on winning the giveaway. Sounds like you did a good job of keeping up with your workouts, even with traveling. I can’t believe it’s already going to be April tomorrow!
Thanks so much Lisa!
Wow, congrats on winning the pizza! Where is it from?
Happy early birthday! And yep, goodbye to March…don’t let the door hit it on the way out!
I’m not sure about the pizza yet – I think I have to choose from a list of places that she will give me. Either way, I’m stoked!
That was so nice the gals surprised you with a fitting celebration of YOU π I may have told you that my hubby’s bday is also tomorrow. Lots of wonderful people in my life have great birthdays π
Thanks Kim π Yes, it was a major surprise, but a happy surprise! Your hubby has a great birthday!
Happy early birthday!
“1/4 way done with the year” when you say it like that…lol. It sounds a lot crazier! That book sounds neat I’ll have to look into that. I’m currently reading Meb Keflezighi’s new book the 26 marathons one.
LOL, right?! It does seem long when you think 1/4 of the year is already over. I overheard someone yesterday say that “Christmas is around the corner”..I wouldn’t go that far!
Happy birthday.
I was working out of town last week too. Itβs hard when you get out of your routine. I need time off. I have to be patient. Not til May 2.
Thanks Darlene! I know exactly what you mean about needing time off -I desperately needed this week off.
**Happy Birthday**
OMG on the pizza prize! Just three more weeks! So glad you like that church — I don’t like to be over-welcomed when I visit a church, but I don’t like to be ignored either. That hotel gym looks like they used the space efficiently – glad there was a sidewalk for your walk.
Thanks Coco! I agree with you about not feeling over-welcomed because that can come off as fake, but this church was very good about that. Not overkill for sure which was nice.
Yes, the hotel gym was small but they definitely stocked it with all the essentials, and there was a tie in the room so that was helpful too.
Happy birthday! That sounds like a nice little celebration from your run crew π And yay for free pizza!
Thank you Chaitali! I really can’t wait to eat pizza again, lol.
understandable that it wasn’t a huge fitness week for you, since you were away for work! that’s ok! I think it’s sweet of your friends to surprise you with a tiara for your birthday run (pre-birthday)! Super nice, unexpected birthday treat π
$50 in pizza!!!! my goodness do NOT spend it all on one order!
LOL, don’t worry! The $50 in pizza will be spent over multiple order π
Congrats on winning the pizza giveaway! Yummy!!
Love the party hats for your birthday run. π I hope you are having a great birthday.
Thanks! I was super stoked to win that!
I had a great birthday – thanks!
Happy Birthday!! and heck, what a great score on the pizza. Yumm! I haven’t heard of that book, but I do love listening to Bart Yasso in different podcasts. He always has something good to say.
Happy birthday! The pizza win sounds like a great “present”. Hope resting your foot keeps it happy!
Thanks so much Hannah! Yes, the pizza giveaway win was a nice present!
Happy birthday! It sounds like you had a great day and a great week, even if you didn’t get in all the miles you wanted! I’m also glad you found a church you think you will enjoy. Let’s have a great April!
Thanks so much Jenn! I had a really nice relaxing day – it was just what I needed!
Happy birthday!
I loved that Bart book
Good luck with your foot
Thanks Cari!
Happy Birthday! Hope you had an awesome day π April is a special birthday month for me with my dad’s birthday on the 4th and my daughter’s on the 11th and three of my friends’ kids are also in April! My late grand-dad’s was on the 12th! I love the gesture from your running group! That was really sweet. π
Thank you! Wow – April is definitely a busy birthday month in your family. I have to say – it really os the best month for birthdays, lol π
Hope you had a really great birthday girl! How fun your group celebrated with you!
Yum for a free pizza!
And yay for a great experience at a new church!
Hope the rest of your Lenten season goes well! I love leading up to Easter and the JOY it brings!
Thanks so much Esther!
Happy birthday, and how sweet of your running buddies! Mine fell on the day of the Running Show last year and my friends gave me a framed quote about running friendships from all of them.
Thanks so much Liz – it was a good day!
