Happy Sunday. I hope that everyone had a great week. Do you have plans for Memorial Day? It’s been raining here on and off since Friday, and expected to continue tomorrow. We probably won’t be able grill any food outside, which is a bummer, but we’ll just have to cook everything inside.
Here’s a rundown of my workouts from this week:
Monday, May 24
Peloton Walk + Run 5/8/21 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton AT’s Ride to Greatness: Warm Up 4/30/21 – Ben (5 minutes)
Peloton AT’s Ride to Greatness: Game 3 5/22/21 – Alex (20 minutes)
Peloton AT’s Ride to Greatness: Cool Down 5/1/21 – Alex (5 minutes)
Peloton WHM Celebration Ride 3/16/20 – Irene (30 minutes)
Peloton Verzuz Yoga Flow 5/22/21 – Ross (30 minutes)
The Walk + Run class went by so quickly! The music and the commentary from Jess was really good so it made the time fly by. Always love AT’s rides, especially his Ride to Greatness classes because if his energy.
Tuesday, May 25
Peloton APIHM Run 5/21/21 – Chase (20 minutes)
Peloton Extra Mile 9/5/19 – Jess (10 minutes)
Peloton APIHM Bollywood Ride 5/24/21 – Kendall (30 minutes)
Peloton APIHM Pop Ride 5/22/21 – Tunde (30 minutes)
I love that Peloton offered a ton of APIHM classes this month because it’s exposed me to lots of new songs and music artists, especially the Bollywood classes. I’m always looking for ways to diversify my music collection so it’s been a great month for that.
Wednesday, May 26
Peloton Pride Run 6/9/20 – Robin (30 minutes)
Peloton Run + Arms & Shoulders 6/6/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton WHM Celebration Ride 3/3/20 – Denis (20 minutes)
Peloton 90’s Rock Yoga Flow 5/1/21 – Chelsea (30 minutes)
The run + arms & shoulders class was a bootcamp class. Some of the older classes focus on doing the run first and then the strength training last, instead of going back and forth between the two. For this class, it worked out well based on the intervals Jess used for the run portion. The strength section was only 10 minutes but my arms were definitely feeling the burn! The playlist for the yoga class was incredible. I haven’t heard many of those songs in years so it was a welcomed surprise!
Thursday, May 27
Peloton Power Walk 5/13/21 – Jess (20 minutes)
Peloton Hike 4/1/21 – Jess (20 minutes)
Peloton Tabata Ride 5/2/21 – Irene (30 minutes)
Peloton 80s Ride 5/1/21 – Irene (30 minutes)
Peloton Full Body Strength 10/31/19 – Jess (10 minutes)
I love my power walk days. Jess was NOT kidding around with either of these classes, especially the hike class (major incline alert)! Last week Irene announced that she was leaving Peloton. I bookmarked a few of her classes that give badges so I decided to take those this week before Peloton purges them (not sure how long they will keep her classes available). The full body strength class was short but spicy.
Friday, May 28
Peloton APIHM Power Zone Endurance Ride 5/26/21 – Matt (30 minutes)
Peloton APIHM Celebration Bootcamp 5/28/21 – Adrian (30 minutes)
Peloton APIHM Bhangra Bodyweight Strength 5/26/21 – Chase (20 minutes)
Peloton APIHM Celebration Yoga Flow 5/17/21 – Chelsea (30 minutes)
Adrian had a 7am bootcamp class so I decided to take that live. It was a great class! Adrian was so sweaty that he had to switch out his mic toward the end of class which made me feel better for all the sweat I had running down my face lol. The bodyweight strength class was interesting. Chase did a good job of mixing in traditional bhangra dance moves with bodyweight strength exercises.
Saturday, May 29
Peloton Turkey Burn Fun Run 11/28/19 – Matt (45 minutes)
Peloton Silk Sonic Ride 5/28/21 – Cliff (30 minutes)
Peloton APIHM Bollywood Pilates 5/24/21 – Aditi (30 minutes)
I looked at my weather app when I woke up and saw I had a one hour window to get in a run before the rain started. I timed it perfectly as it started to rain hard as soon as got back to my house. I also ran into a few animal friends while I was out.
The ride with Cliff was such a vibe! He’s one of the intstructors in Germany so while I don’t understand anything he’s saying on the ride, I am still able to follow his cues and his personality during this vibe was amazing. He was dancing and singing and just overall having a good time on the bike. The 30 minutes pilates class was hard for me. I think my max is around 20 minutes for that type of class.
Sunday, May 30
Peloton Arezzo Run (10 minutes)
Peloton Silk Sonic Ride 5/24/21 – Sam (30 minutes)
Peloton Silk Sonic Bike Bootcamp 5/25/21 – Tunde (30 minutes)
Peloton Silk Sonic Upper Body Strength 5/26/21 – Ben (20 minutes)
Peloton Silk Sonic Pilates 5/26/21 – Emma (20 minutes)
With rain in the forecast all day, it was nice to do a stack of these Silk Sonic classes. Their R&B music is really fun and made the workouts fun. All the classes were good but the upper body strength class was especially spicy – I know my arms are going to be so angry at me tomorrow, lol.
Total Weekly Mileage: 13.8 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 2 bootcamps, 13 cycle, 3 yoga and 5 strength/HIIT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 277/279
I can’t believe the contrast from last weekend’s weather to today. For once, the weatherman was right when he said it would be a cold and wet weekend. I didn’t have any plans for Memorial Day but I feel bad for everyone that wanted to go to the beach or down to the Jersey Shore. Hopefully the next holiday weekend in July will have better weather.
This meme made me laugh so hard this week because it’s 100% true. Houses are selling for $20,000 or more over asking price – it’s nuts! How’s the housing market where you live? Things are crazy here so I’ll be waiting a little while longer before looking at houses to buy.
…and now for this week’s memes
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
