Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I very much enjoyed my time off this week and it was nice to have the free time to run errands and spend time with family.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, November 21
Our Future Selves Run: Dr David Agus 10/18/22 – Emma (30 minutes)
Pupukea Forest Ride (10K)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The run was really interesting. I’ve never heard of Dr. David Agus but apparently he’s very well-known and has worked with a few celebrities who have had cancer. I’m always down to hear doctors speak candidly about things.
Tuesday, November 22
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Our Future Selves Run: Finale 11/1/22 – Becs (20 minutes)
Full Body Strength 1/23/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Pupukea Forest Ride (5K)
Savannah Wetlands Ride (5K)
For OTF we had somewhat of a ‘tornado’ style workout where we switched every 5-7 minutes. I like these type of templates because it makes the class go by quickly. I also did 2 more scenic rides – I think I want to do at least one scenic ride a week. It’s a nice way to mix things up.
I also tried my first Starbucks holiday drink of the season – the Chestnut Praline latte. I never tried it before but it was really good and I would definitely try it again!
Wednesday, November 23
Our Future Selves Run: Adam Grant 10/4/22 – Adrian (30 minutes)
Bootcamp: Core 2/4/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Flash 15 9/17/21 – Jess (15 minutes)
LOL Cody 11/17/22 – Cody (30 minutes)
I spent the first part of my morning in bed with a cup of coffee while I read a few blogs. It was such a nice way to ease into the morning. I never do this because I’m always rushing to get in my workout before work, so it was nice to slow down.
The LOL Cody ride with JC Chasez was absolutely hysterical! I will say that these rides aren’t typical rides – it’s more like a talkshow on the bike, so it’s not the hardest workout in the world, but it sure is fun. The Flash 15 had burpees – that’s all I’ll say about that, lol.
Thursday, November 24
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Fit Family Cardio 11/24/22 – Jess & Matty (30 minutes)
Turkey Burn Run 11/24/22 – Alex (30 minutes)
Full Body Stretch 11/24/22 – Erik (10 minutes)
Happy Thanksgiving! I started off my day with an OTF class at 7am. No turkey costume this year as I didn’t sleep well and didn’t really feel like dressing up, but I did wear my Turkey Run shirt which I love!
Although I didn’t do a traditional Turkey Trot, I still submitted my photo for the annual running bloggers Thanksgiving photo collage!
The Fit Family Cardio class was hysterical! Each year Jess has a special guest for the class (in 2020 it was Alex and both of their dogs, in 2021 it was Rad). This year it was Matty and it was like watching a comedy show. After that class I hopped on Alex’s premiere run which was also the Turkey Burn run – he did a great job and it was another really fun class!
Friday, November 25
Turkey Burn Ride 11/24/22 – Robin (45 minutes)
Warm Up Run 5/12/22 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Jock Jams Bootcamp 11/25/22 – Jess (45 minutes)
Full Body Stretch 11/24/22 – Ben (10 minutes)
Robin’s turkey burn ride was amazing. It was all about gratitude and she dropped some great nuggets of wisdom during the ride. Jess was finally teaching a live bootcamp so I absolutely had to include that in my stack. Since it was a jock jams bootcamp the playlist was really good. Thank goodness because the class was hard!
Saturday, November 26
Extra 10: Walk 11/1/22 – Jeffrey (10 minutes)
*NSYNC Run 11/18/22 – Jon (30 minutes)
Flash 15 10/8/21 – Jess (15 minutes)
*NSYNC Ride 11/18/22 – Cody (30 minutes)
Taylor Swift Midnights Yoga Flow 11/26/22 – Mariana (30 minutes)
Both *NYSYNC classes may be my new favorite Peloton classes. Both Jon and Cody had hit song after hit song on their playlists which made the classes go by super quickly!
Peloton dropped a bunch of new Taylor Swift classes. I’m not her biggest fan, but I really enjoyed the yoga class. It definitely helped my back, which was sore from taking out all out Christmas decorations from the basement.
Sunday, November 27
Extra 10: Hike 11/14/22 – Selena (10 minutes)
Taylor Swift Midnights Ride 11/26/22 – Ally (30 minutes)
Taylor Swift Midnights Arms 11/26/22 – Kendall (10 minutes)
Taylor Swift Midnights Core Strength 11/26/22 – Olivia (20 minutes)
I decided to complete a few of the new Taylor Swift classes before running a few errands. The 10 minute arms class was a killer – my arms were shaking by the end.
Summary:
Running – 18.31 miles
Cycle – 40.74 miles
Bootcamp – 75 minutes
Strength Training – 60 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 871/880
Was I the only person kind of underwhelmed by the Black Friday sales? Maybe it’s because I don’t really need anything? Either way, my credit card was very happy since I didn’t do too much damage, lol.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.
Thanks to Wendy for sending me these two memes, lol
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It
Tuesday Topics: I’m Thankful for Running
Great week for you!!! I love the Cody LOL’s…I just adlib my own speed intervals and resistance. I also did both the ‘NSYNC classes you mentioned (Cody’s ride and the run). This morning, I did Ally’s Taylor Swift ride. I liked the class, but the music was a bit meh (I like Taylor’s older stuff better). Sigh. I totally spaced off doing any of the turkey burns…
Yup same here for the LOL rides. I really enjoy the entertainment from those rides lol.
Yes that Starbucks new flavor was delish.
Your memes are stop on.. Trying to sleep, the weather and resetting work passwords!!!!
It was such a yummy flavor! I wasn’t sure if I would like it so I was pleasantly surprised.
Wasn’t it nice to have a few days off? I almost always work the Weds before and Friday after TG. Those days were packed full, though and I am tired! It’s a better kind of tired, versus the work kind, if you know what I mean. Glad you were able to relax a bit!
I really enjoyed my days off – I definitely needed the break!
ha ha great memes this week! I also loved Cody’s ride. Off to try Erik’s stretch class now. Way to stay active and productive this week. Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving
Erik’s stretch class was really good too, and it’s in English!
Sounds like you had a great week. Staying in bed for a while drinking coffee sounds SO NICE- you needed that after the work stress you’ve had. I don’t think anyone in our family bought anything on Black Friday, which was a first. Nowadays it seems like sales go on all the time- no need to go crazy on one day.
Totally true about the black friday sales – I just feel like they were normal sales I got get any time of the year lol.
I just love a relaxing morning instead of being rushed to fit in my workout before seeing clients. Happy for you that you had a few of those! And i feel you on carrying boxes up from the basement!
It was so nice! I promised myself that I would try to do that more often. I hate always feeling so rushed all the time.
My back is still sore from carrying up the Christmas boxes – ugh!
Great week Kim! Nice to see that you were able to enjoy some downtime from work too! I hope your back is feeling better.
Love this week’s memes – so on point!! LOL
Thanks Michelle! My back is still a little achy but I know it will feel better in a few days, thank goodness.
LOL, love the mother nature meme. The email one hits too close to home.
I so wanted to do Jess’s bootcamp — would have been my 50th — but I was too sick to get up and then heard about and decided I need to be healthy for it!
I had a chestnut praline latte yesterday — I think it’s one of my favorites.
I hope you have a great week!
The mother nature meme is so accurate for this year!
Jess is going to be teaching a live bootcamp on Saturday December 10th if you want to save that for your 50th!
I worked Black Friday and Saturday ( I have a retail client) and I basically wanted to spend Sunday curled up in the fetal position eating pie. I did that ride with Dr David Argus and it was such a good reminder about how much exercise is too much and the point of diminishing returns. Glad you enjoyed Thanksgiving and had a nice break!
I remember the days when I had to work Black Friday (for GAP and Bed Bath and Beyond) and I remember just being so mentally exhausted after – it’s a lot!
Totally agree about what Dr Agus mentioned about too much exercise, etc. I kind of gave him the side eye when he was dissing smoothies because I love them, lol.
That last meme — so true! So happy you got to get in at least one relaxing morning. I remember when I would stay at my parents’ house (before they moved), I’d make my breakfast & then bring it upstairs to eat it in bed. Best thing ever.
Sounds like you caught up on a bit of relaxation this week, and that’s a good thing!
I really underestimated breakfast and relaxing in bed – I need to do it more often!
I love your memes! I saved several. Especially the weather and adulting ones haha.
I love the T Swift workouts, but I’m a total swiftie so I really enjoy her workouts.
I’m super excited Alex is now a tread instructor! I did a few of his bike classes while rehabbing my knee and I really like him. Glad he’s gonna be doing more run workouts so I can listen to him while I run.
