Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: why are you thankful for running? You can write about this or any running related topic. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
Why am I thankful for running? I’m always thankful for the ability to run, and exercise in general. Coming off of the last few years, running has helped me deal with my anxiety and has helped me stay connected with my online network of running friends.
I’m thankful to running for helping me work through my feelings of anxiety. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best when it comes to discussing my feelings. Even admitting that I deal with anxiety makes me feel…anxious, lol, but I know it’s best to talk about these things freely. When I run, I’m able to get into a zone where I can think about literally anything else besides what is stressing me out at that time. I think this is also why I love running in the morning before logging into work for the day.
I’m thankful to running for my virtual support system. I’m so thankful for my amazing network of running and blogging friends. Runners are a bit of a crazy breed, so it’s nice to have friends to talk to about virtual races, injuries, Peloton, etc.
Tell me: Why are you thankful for running?
I hope that you have an amazing Thanksgiving with friends and family!

Sending you all a huge hug!

So true! Now that I haven’t been running for nearly 2 months, I can really tell the difference that running makes to me.
I get irritable a lot easier and I think I’m also moodier. I’m glad I have Crossfit and other fitness activities to keep me busy, but I miss running!!
I am also glad you have other actives to keep you busy while you take a break from running!
I posted my reasons last week. But definitely helps with personal and work stress. The cold has kept me in bed but I agree running is the best way to start your day.
I’m not good with sharing personal stuff on the blog but I do value everyone’s support. You all motivate me to keep running.
Happy thanksgiving. Hope you have a relaxing day. Looking forward to your outfit.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving Darlene!
I, too, am ever grateful for running, and fitness in general. It has brought so much to my life, physically and emotionally, and has brought so many wonderful people into my life (ahem, I’m looking at YOU, #KimTwin). I hope you have a great Thanksgiving 😉
I’m so thankful running for connecting us!
I agree! I am so grateful for running as a stress-reliever and for the many wonderful people it has brought into my life — present company included 🙂
I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!
What would we do without running?? It’s the best stress reliever!
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving too!
I am thankful to have you in my virtual running tribe and Peloton squad. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours
Right back atcha Deborah! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
I also love running in the morning before things get hectic with life, work, etc. I haven’t been running as much but am looking at the Peloton to help me deal with stress, anxiety, etc. Yes, for having a virtual support system!
I love getting my workout done early – it gives me a nice energy boost before starting the work day.
