Happy Sunday! It was back to the grind this week. Overall it wasn’t too bad but I’m so glad that I took Monday off. It made it easier to ease back into work. I can’t believe that we’re now in December and that the end of the year is right around the corner! Here’s how my week played out.
Monday, November 29
Warm Up Walk 10/29/21 – Matty (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Full Body Advanced Bootcamp 11/27/21 – Jess (60 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 9/24/21 – Matty (10 minutes)
The Beatles: Get Back Upper Body Strength 11/28/21 – Andy (20 minutes)
The Beatles: Get Back Yoga Flow 11/28/21 – Mariana (30 minutes)
#nevermissamonday! The #Saturday60 class was very difficult so that was the bulk of my workout for the day. It felt like each section was harder than the previous one – she really showed no mercy, lol. I enjoyed both of the new Beatles classes, although at times there were too many breaks in the strength class.
Tuesday, November 30
The Beatles: Get Back Walk + Run 11/27/21 – Jon (30 minutes)
The Beatles: Get Back Ride 11/27/21 – Denis (45 minutes)
HIIT Cardio 9/22/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Remember a few weeks ago when a woman backed into my car? Well I was finally able to drop my car off to get the dent fixed. I had to drop it off at 8am so I did both Beatles classes, dropped it off, and then did the HIIT cardio class before logging into work for the day. I wasn’t a fan of the Walk + Run class (it was a little unorganized) but the ride and HIIT cardio class were good.
Wednesday, December 1
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Run + Arms Treadmill Bootcamp 7/29/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
Fit Family Fun HIIT Cardio 12/14/20 – Jess (15 minutes)
Happy 1st day of December! Today kicked off the OTF 12 Days of Fitmas Challenge. Class was actually enjoyable, especially the treadmill block. We were able to pick our own exercise for two 1 minute blocks on the floor. The choices were burpees, pushups or squats. Of course you know I selected burpees…and I was the only crazy person in class that made that choice, lol.
I also kicked off my bootcamp a day challenge for December with an older 45 minute tread bootcamp. The older classes have a different format where you do all the running in one block first and then hit the floor for the strength portion.
Thursday, December 2
Heat It Up Bike Bootcamp 11/26/21 – Cody (60 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
R&B Walk 5/7/21 – Jess (30 minutes)
AC/DC Yoga Flow 12/1/21 – Kristin (20 minutes)
Cody’s Bring the Heat bike bootcamp an it did not disappoint! I really enjoyed watching Cody on Dancing With the Stars but I’m glad that he is back in New York and can teach more classes. I had to drop off two packages at the post office so I decided to do that over lunch while taking the R&B Walk class. It was nice to get in some steps while also running an errand. I’m doing Robin’s #3for31 challenge this month, which involves logging at least 3 miles a day (walking, jogging or running). It’s definitely manageable since you can split up the miles throughout the day if needed.
Friday, December 3
Pre-Run Warm Up 6/11/19 – Chase (5 minutes)
Heat It Up Run 11/26/21 – Susie (45 minutes)
Post-Run Stretch 6/11/19 – Chase (5 minutes)
Bodyweight Bike Bootcamp 9/15/20 – Cody (30 minutes)
AC/DC Full Body Strength 12/1/21 – Andy (20 minutes)
This was my first time doing a longer run with Susie and it was pretty good. The playlist was just okay but I enjoyed her eating style and the stories that she shared during the run. I also really enjoyed Andy’s AC/DC strength class too.
Saturday, December 4
Full Body Bike Bootcamp 9/15/20 – Jess (45 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (60 minutes)
AC/DC Warm Up Run 12/1/21 – Jermaine (10 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 11/22/21 – Jermaine (10 minutes)
I was really happy with my perfect pyramid – that rarely happens, especially for a 60 min class! I ran a few errands after class and then once I got home I did two classes with JJ to finish up my 3.1 miles for the day for the #3for31 challenge.
Sunday, December 5
Pride Run 6/25/21 – Jess K (30 minutes)
RENT Run 6/4/21 – Matty (20 minutes)
AC/DC Ride 12/1/21 – Sam (30 minutes)
Upper Body Bike Bootcamp 9/22/20 – Robin (30 minutes)
AC/DC Full Body Strength 12/2/21 – Erik (20 minutes)
I have several Peloton outdoor classes bookmarked so I’m working my way down the list. The Pride run was really cool because Jess talked through the NYC Pride Parade route. The AC/DC ride was really good – you can never go wrong with any of Sam’s rides. I wasn’t planning on doing the AC/DC strength or ride classes today but I was feeling energized after my run so I decided to capitalize on that!
Total Weekly Mileage: 20 miles
Summary: 10 runs*, 2 cycle, 6 bootcamps, 2 yoga and 8 OTF/strength/HIIT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 457/460
Even though it was a short week for me, work still kicked my butt. It’s probably going to be a little crazy until Christmas but I am using up the rest of my PTO this upcoming week (off Thursday/Friday) and the following week (off Monday/Tuesday) so that should help save my sanity – hopefully 🙂
Other than work, this week was spent putting up Christmas decorations in the house and attempting to do online shopping for gifts. I saw “attempt” because my parents and sister are so hard to buy for and they rarely give me any ideas. Have you started or finished your holiday shopping?
Also, I’m going to work on mailing out my holiday cards next week and I’d love to send you one! If you would like a card, please leave your address here!
…and now for this week’s memes

I’m not a fan of late afternoon work calls/meetings.

Not a funny meme, but saw this earlier in the week and wanted to share.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It
Tuesday Topics: Let’s Go Streaking!
December 2021 Goals
I would have picked burpees too! After doing that 1000 burpee in a week challenge last year, they don’t scare me anymore, lol
Seems like a lot of us had a tough week! It’s just insane, between work and holiday prep. I’m chipping away at shopping. I pretty much have the boys taken care of, so everything else will work itself out.
Burpees kinda suck but for some reason I really love them!
Great variety of your workouts this week! All the challenges to keep up with too! Your WRD gives me ideas of classes to try this week. So thanks! Have a good one. “Grey’s anatomy” ha funny not funny!
I’m glad my WRD gives a few ideas for classes! Your workouts always give me ideas too!
Ha ha, that Bugs Bunny meme is totally me! I love my naps.
I’m glad you have more PTO coming your way. My boss is being a total a-hole about people taking any days off through the holidays, because we’re understaffed. Well, it’s not MY fault we’re understaffed! Whatever.
Sounds like you had a great week as usual! You have three different challenges going on (I think- I may have lost count) that should keep you motivated and fit this month!
LOL! I don’t nap too often, but I often seem to “slow down” after I eat lunch, especially if it was a big lunch, haha.
That’s a shame about your boss. I wish that those types of managers would realize that employees need to take their PTO in order not to hit burn out.
I did the AC/DC ride and some AC/DC yoga! Go me. Haha! Way to fit in all that activity at a nutso time of year!
That’s awesome! Glad you were able to take two of the AC/DC classes.
I always love the variety of your workouts! I’ll have to bookmark those AC/DC classes.
Sounds like so many of us had crazy workweeks! Glad you have some more days off lined up.
I love the last meme you shared – so true!
The AC/DC classes were surprisingly good! It’s not really me main genre of music but I enjoyed the playlists.
I just did the AC/DC ride about an hour ago! OMG, that playlist!!!!! As I said, I loved Andy’s strength workout, too…I’m gonna put that on #repeat 😉 My shopping has begun, but rather slowly…..
The playlist was so good!
Yesterday with my wife we began to make shopping but the list is long again: 2 children, 4 grandsons, some friends…. not easy to choose the right gift.
The last meme is true, I have to think more about those words.
So true! i love to give gifts but sometimes it’s hard to find the right gift for someone, especially adults.
Omg. That COVID meme. Unfortunately so true.
You are so active with peleton and OTF.
Great idea to take your PTO now. I’m one of few who works but I’ll take mine in Feb and May.
Sure. 18 Holbrook way Delmar ny 12054
Yes, sadly the Covid meme is way too true. I still can’t believe we are still dealing with this almost 2 years later, sigh 🙁
I wish that I could roll over unused vacation days to the next calendar year but my job doesn’t allow it, so that’s why I end up taking so much time off in November and December. I refuse to lose vacation days lol
OMG on the Grey’s meme. I think I’m the only person I know still watching. 😉
I am impressed by your OTF pyramid. That is hard to do!
I have enjoyed the AC/DC classes. I thought Andy’s strength flew by! I’ve got my first Susie class stacked for tomorrow – her Stacking Stuffer
I’m still scared of burpees, even more with my yes-it-broke finger. I am getting back into things but feel sooooo unfit now. Ugh. But I’ll get there. Good on you for taking your PTO, my husband is off weird times up to Christmas to use all his up!
Obviously I’m behind in commenting, but I have to say, the way you get in all your workouts with your crazy work amazes me Kim. Great job!
That Gray’s Anatomy meme — it made me laugh, but sad at the same time.
Why must work be so stressful…I feel ya. Glad you were able to get your car fixed! I haven’t tried any Peloton bootcamps yet, will need to dip my toes in there!
I think you would really enjoy the Peloton bootcamps!
Cars were the topics of the week I guess! Several blogs mentioned them this week. Gift shopping is underway at my house. I barely have anything to get at a physical store so I guess that’s good? A bit boring but easy. I am taking a trip to the mall tomorrow though just to get some of that seasonal feel and pick up one gift. Great job getting all of those workouts this week. You did a lot!
I have barely done physical shopping at a store as well. I can pretty much get anything online, lol.
The intensity of your workouts wears me right out. Car stuff is so overwhelming. I wish we didn’t have to deal with it ever.
So glad you had some time to unwind. It’s good for mental health.
Totally agree with you about car stuff. I’m not one for “traditional gender roles” but I would be totally okay handing over any car issues to a boyfriend or husband if I had one!
