Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week. We have had absolutely beautiful weather for most of the week. I am soaking it all in before because I have a feeling it will feel like Winter again soon. Talk about weather whiplash!
Good luck to all of the NYC Marathon runners today!
This week was hard, but also somewhat fun? Here’s how my workouts went:
Monday, October 31
Our Future Selves Run 10/25/22 – Alex & Becs (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Untitled (60 minutes)
Happy Halloween! Although my mom and I were the only ones dressed up in our OTF class, it was still fun! Our coach dressed up as Gizmo which was super cute. The workout had A LOT going on and it was a little hard to keep up at times but that made the workout fly by. The Our Future Selves Run with Alex, Becs and Ashton was awesome. I really noticed during that class that Alex runs super fast – he’s going to be a beast as an instructor!

I was going for Run DMC, but a few people guessed LL Cool J. Either one works, lol.
Tuesday, November 1
Stormzy Ride 10/26/22 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
90s Walk 10/13/22 – Jess (20 minutes)
I was unfamiliar with Stormzy before taking this ride but he’s a pretty well known artist in the UK. I liked the playlist that Hannah selected and I look forward to doing the Stormzy run with Jermaine later on this week. The OTF class was interesting. It was a “members choice” style workout. There were certain blocks we had to do, but then for some block we had a choice. For ont of the floor blocks, I selected the core burner which I quickly discovered was not the best choice, lol. On the treadmill we had two 5 minute blocks and we could do whatever we wanted for those blocks – intervals, sprints, inclines, etc. I decided to do a progression run for each block which worked out well. I hope they throw in more of these workouts in the future – I really enjoyed
it.
Wednesday, November 2
Kenny Chesney Run 9/28/22 – Matt (30 minutes)
Kenny Chesney Ride 9/28/22 – Hannah C (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
I survived the Kenny Chesney classes – that’s all I can say about that, lol. But I did recognize one song, so it wasn’t all bad! The OTF class was pretty hard. I don’t know if it’s delayed fatigue from Hell Week or because it was my third class in a row, but my legs were tired and not really feeling all the inclines, endurance rows and squats/lunges.
Thursday, November 3
On the Leaderboard: Peloton Walk 9/30/22 – Denis (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 10/8/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Black History Month Ride 10/19/22 – Cliff (30 minutes)
It’s been a while since I have done a Saturday 60, so why not jump back in with an advanced class? I definitely needed to modify some of the moves for the strength block but I still got in a great workout. Cliff’s ride was awesome – loved his playlist and everything that he shared during that ride.
Friday, November 4
Stormzy Run 10/26/22 – Jermaine (30 minutes)
Intervals Run 6/5/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Flash 15 7/16/21 – Jess (15 minutes)
Power Zone Endurance Hip Hop Ride 10/26/22 – Matt (30 minutes)
Full Body Stretch 1/16/20 – Matty (10 minutes)
JJ had so much energy during his run – it was hard not to try to aim for a PR, but I didn’t want to aggravate my knee. I’ve had some knee pain on and off the past few weeks – probably from a tight IT band. I have implemented nighty dates with my foam roller so I hope that will continue to keep it happy.
Saturday, November 5
Moulin Rouge Run 9/21/22 – Matty (30 minutes)
Bodyweight Strength 1/16/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Moulin Rouge Two For One Ride 9/21/22 – Bradley & Sam (30 minutes)
Moulin Rouge Cool Down Ride 9/21/22 – Leanne (10 minutes)
This was a fun stack! Although I haven’t seen Moulin Rouge on Broadway, I enjoy the music from the production. The bodyweight strength class was a total leg burner!
Sunday, November 6
Afrobeats Ride 10/24/22 – Ally (30 minutes)
Black History Month Ride 10/22/22 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
Flash 15 7/23/21 – Jess (15 minutes)
Short, but nice stack today. Both rides were pretty good and the Flat 15 class was just the right amount of strength training for me today.
Summary:
Running – 18 miles
Cycle – 45.82 miles
Bootcamp – 60 minutes
Strength Training – 50 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 850/858
How was your Halloween? This year we got a good amount of kids. I ran out of candy around 7:40pm so I had to close up shop early (I normally give out candy until 8:00pm). I made 45 treat bags so I was surprised I ran out! Our area is always weird because we either get 15-20 kids or 40-50 kids. I’ll buy more candy for next year and I bet we won’t get as many trick or treaters, lol.
…and now for this week’s memes.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Tuesday Topics: Tips for Finding Running Groups
I love how into Halloween you and your mom get. Looks like you both had fun this year. It already feels like Halloween was forever ago! I feel so old when I see some of the music collabs on Peloton and I literally have no idea who they are 🙂
Wow, you really had a full week with all those Orange Theory classes. The Halloween one looks fun (or, you made it fun with your costumes!) We got a decent amount of trick or treaters… and now I’m suddenly sick of Halloween- I need to get my decorations down TODAY and put up Thanksgiving!
Ha ha… I like the cat meme.
Your comments about the music in your Peloton classes validate why I can’t do those classes! I’d be too annoyed by the music and wouldn’t be able to focus on the workout. The music in Fluid Running isn’t great but it’s more like background noise. Is that how it is on the Peloton app?
Nice week as always, Kim! I love how you and your mom dress up!
LOL – I 100% get where you are coming from. But I committed to doing all of the Artist Series classes, so that means some of them aren’t that great, but I would say I definitely enjoy the playlist at least 85% of the time!
Again you amaze me with all those workouts.
I have never heard of many of the new artists.
I’m glad I don’t use a camera when I work online… that is exactly my face.
Thanks so much Darlene!
That’s so fun you and your mom dressed up! I’m impressed you an out of candy. I bought hardly any but we ended up only having maybe 12 kids total so it was all good. We had beautiful weather for Halloween so I’m not sure what was up with the low turnout. Props to you for doing the Kenny Chesney workouts. THey were a hard no for me. Haha!
It seems like many people didn’t get a lot of trick or treaters this year. I wonder if kids just aren’t doing it as much anymore. We have a few trunk or treat events in our town which take place the weekend before Halloween so I know a lot of kids do that.
I guessed RUN DMC right away!! Nice chain, LOL I listened to Matty’s Halloween run/walk this morning (while I walked), he is SO funny! Other than that, I didn’t get a chance to hit up many of the Halloween classes. Looks like you had another great week of sweat equity! Our neighborhood is really sporadic on Halloween night. I never know if I’ll have enough or be left with excess. I had five pieces left-over this year (so, I nailed it…sort of).
YAY! I’m glad you guessed correctly. I got he accessories (hat, glasses and chain) from Amazon, lol. Matty is a riot – I love him so much!
Was that your face during the Kenny Chesney classes? 😉 Thanks for the reminder on Cliff’s class. I think he has an English Gospel ride I haven’t done yet too.
Three OTF classes in a row is a lot, plus you did Peloton classes too — your legs deserve to be tired.
We’ve had Halloweens with ZERO kids. This time we got 13, but they came in only two groups. It was rainy, so we admired their perseverance trudging up our hill.
Oh the Kenny Chesney classes were kind of rough. Luckily it was early in the morning so I was half asleep while doing them – that helped, lol. Yes, Cliff has a few gospel rides in English. I’ve only done one but I believe he has at least 4 rides on the platform.
I get bummed when we don’t get a lot of kids stopping by on Halloween so I was glad that we had a nice amount this year, but I need to have more candy on hand for next year.
I love the OTF instructors costume! I’m a bit impartial since I had a cat named Gizmo — who looked a LOT like the Gizmo from Gremlins (hence the name).
Love that your mom takes the class with you — and that she dresses up, too!
Today, we’re having our first taste of fall weather after several weeks of summer-like days. Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted.
I made up 38 Halloween treat bags and ran out so I had to close up shop early – first time ever!
That teeth/elbow meme is great!
I love Moulin Rogue, so I bet those workouts were FIRE!
I’m sorry about your knee pain. I hope it eases up.
Fun outfits for your workout class!! I was enjoying some nice weather, and raking up leaves, and now it’s snowing. Yep, got that raking done right in time!! Great workouts this week, hope your knee is feeling better!
” survived the Kenny Chesney classes – that’s all I can say about that, lol. But I did recognize one song, so it wasn’t all bad!”
Hah! I’m rubbing off on you.
