Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week and enjoyed this crazy weather. Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, November 7
Kendrick Lamar Shadowboxing 11/2/22 – Kendall (20 minutes)
Kendrink Lamar Boxing Stretch 11/2/22 – Kendall (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Moulin Rouge 9/21/22 – Tobias (30 minutes)
#nevermissamonday! I like the shadowboxing classes because even though they are low impact, I still work up a sweat. I really enjoyed the OTF template – lots of switching between stations, sprints on the treadmill and load and explode moves for the strength section. I also hit my 4 year workout streak with Peloton. That was a nice surprise to kick off the week!
Unfortunately my blog was down for most of the day and it finally came back Monday night, but a little too late for me to do a post for Tuesday Topics.
Tuesday, November 8
Kendrick Lamar Bike Bootcamp 11/2/22 – Jess (30 minutes)
Flash 15 8/13/21 – Jess (15 minutes)
R&B Walk 11/3/22 – Jess (15 minutes)
Kendrick Lamar Run 11/3/22 – Jermaine (30 minutes)
Loved this bike bootcamp! I had heard good things about it from a few people online and they were 100% right. The run was also good too and the Flash 15 class almost killed me – as usual 🙂
Happy Election Day! I decided to split up my workout so that I could vote early in the morning. I normally try to go between 6:30-7:30am to avoid the lines. Luckily I was in and out within 5 minutes. Also congratulations to my state for finally giving us the chance to vote on implementing early voting in Connecticut. I’m not surprised that it passed. I am a firm believer that if Election Day is not a national holiday, then early voting must be offered as an option.
Wednesday, November 9
Saturday60: Pop Bootcamp 10/22/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 5/9/22 – Jess K (10 minutes)
Kendrick Lamar Ride 11/2/22 – Cliff (45 minutes)
Another “fun” Saturday60 bootcamp! Seriously, it wasn’t that bad actually. She was nice and gave a few small breaks throughout the class. Cliff’s ride was really good – he had so much energy and you could tell he was really into the ride. He even rapped along to some of the songs.
Wednesday was also my company’s first Global Volunteer Day. It was great to have the day off to volunteer. I spent most of the morning helping to stock shelves at my local soup kitchen and food pantry, and then I did some virtual volunteering for a local non profit in the afternoon.
Thursday, November 10
Full Body Strength: Live From Home 6/25/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Shot Clock (60 minutes)
Our Future Selves Run: Kenny Chesney 9/27/22 – Denis (30 minutes)
I have to say, Kenny Chesney is pretty cool. I learned more about him during this run and I really like his mentality when it comes to exercise and it was nice to hear more about his philanthropic work too.
Orangetheory partnered with NCCA Women’s Basketball player Aliyah Boston, to make a custom designed workout called “Shot Clock”. I really enjoyed it because it was something different, especially a lot of the drills during the strength section. I hope that OTF does more of these custom workouts in the future.
Friday, November 11
Our Future Selves Run: Thomas Rhett 10/18/22 – Becs (30 minutes)
Kendrick Lamar Ride 11/2/22 – Tunde (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
I am enjoying all of the Our Future Selves runs because it’s nice to learn more about these musicians/celebrities. The OTF template was rough, especially the tread portion. Everyone said it felt like a leftover Hell Week template, lol.
Saturday, November 12
Veteran’s Day Ride 11/11/22 – Camila (20 minutes)
Veteran’s Day Run 11/11/22 – Marcel D (30 minutes)
Armistice Day Run 11/11/22 – Susie (30 minutes)
Carly Rae Jepsen Yoga Flow 11/12/22 – Kristin (30 minutes)
I couldn’t do the Veteran’s Day classes live on Friday so I opted to do then today. They were all really good. I love that Peloton offers these type of classes. The yoga class felt great after those two runs.
Sunday, November 13
LOL Cody 11/10/22 – Cody (30 minutes)
Carly Rae Jepsen Ride 11/12/22 – Cody (30 minutes)
Carly Rae Jepsen Cool Down Ride 11/12/22 – Leanne (10 minutes)
Carly Rae Jepsen Upper Body Strength 11/12/22 – Callie (20 minutes)
I spent all morning running a bunch of errands so I got a little but of a late start on this workout. This stack was so-so. The LOL ride was okay, but Carly Rae looked a bit uncomfortable on the bike. The Carly Rae Jepsen rides were fun but the upper body strength wasn’t that great.
Summary:
Running – 20.5 miles
Cycle – 38.14 miles
Bootcamp – 60 minutes
Strength Training – 65 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 861/864
On Saturday I hit 365 meals donated via the Vizer app. I know I have talked about this app before but it’s such an easy way to give back. Vizer is an exercise rewards app that allows you to donate meals and earn points towards rewards at local businesses. As long as you log 30 minutes of activity or walk 10,000 steps a day, you can donate a meal for your workout.
…and now for this week’s memes.

Thanks to Deborah for this one!
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
I was into the boxing classes when they first came out. I have no idea why I stopped doing them. Thanks for the reminder. That’s great that your company gives back like that. Always feels good to do so. Snow in November lol perhaps that is true!
I also didn’t do the boxing classes for a while so I need to be better about remembering to do them every now and then.
Hah! I am all in on the snow meme. #RespectTheBird
Wait, isn’t Kenny Chesney a country artist? Are they winning you over? I have a lot of the Our Future Selves classes to catch up on. I’m planning to do Camilla;’s CRJ run from today tomorrow. I’m sure she’ll make it fun.
Those OTF workouts sound fun in a Jess Sims kind of way.
Yes, #RespectTheBird! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday so I get mad when people just fast track to Christmas lol
Umm…Kenny Chesney kind of won me over, lol. I am still not a country music fan though!
I did the Kenny Chesney OFS run (before my glute/hammy had other ideas). I thought it was interesting … I need to do more of those. I love the November snow meme! It seems like so many are putting up their trees (and decorating) already this year! Yikes…that trend is taking over…
Anyways, congrats on a solid week! Also, thanks for all your volunteer efforts; it’s great that your place of work honors that with a day dedicated to it!
It was definitely interesting to learn more about him, what drives him to workout and to hear more about his philanthropic stuff too!
Yes, we missed you on Tuesday! Glad the blog is up and running again. Sounds like you had a great week as usual. How awesome that your company supports volunteer work like that.
I can tell that decorating early for Christmas is becoming the norm, because now i want to do it. No, no, no!!!! Must wait till after Thanksgiving! I’m still holding out till Black Friday.
Thanks Jenny! My blog was just not cooperating last week but it seems better now.
I’m with you – I don’t decorate for Christmas until Black Friday. I love Thanksgiving and it’s my favorite holiday so i like to enjoy celebrating it!
I’ve heard of trees being planted for certain mileage – but never meals – this is awesome Kim.
Glad your state approved early voting! We still don’t have that (only those working abroad can vote early through the different embassies) but for the rest of us, early voting is not possible. We vote on Saturday? … so I guess they are assuming many of us are not working, but still.
It’s such a great app and just the easiest way for me to give back. With food insecurity being such a big issue right now, doing things like that make me feel good 🙂 Voting here is always on a Tuesday, but I kind of think moving to a Saturday would be good too.
Who knew that there was a day of volunteering? It’s great that your work honors it. Ours would make us use PTO, lol…
We have mail=in voting in Illinois, which I really appreciate. Especially with all those judges on the ballot, it gives me extra time to be thoughtful about my choices.
Nice week of workouts as always!
i love that you have the option to do mail in voting in Illinois. I try to research the candidates the weekend before I go vote but it’s so much information to remember!
I took full advantage of the early voting our state offers. It’s one of the few things IL gets right! Nice bunch of workouts as always! How great for your employer to give you a day to volunteer! Thank for the reminder about that app. So cool to be able to donate meals with workouts!
Yes, this was our first official day off for volunteering and it was really nice. Every year we get 16 hours paid time off volunteer to use how we like so usually i do a few hours here and there but never a whole day!
I cannot understand why people get so upset about early voting and absentee ballots. Don’t we want everyone to vote? Constitutionally, we are not supposed to make this more difficult or create obstacles. Schools aren’t even closed for Election Day here.
Give EVERYONE a voter ID and make it a national holiday for EVERYONE and then maybe one day voting would be ok. Of course, what does that mean for the military and officials overseas? Sorry. After working behind the scenes, I get a little fired up. A woman said to me “I saw on the news that people were scanning in their ballots and the machines were changing their votes. How do I know this doesn’t happen?” Um, ma’am. Call the Elections office. They will take you on a damn tour. I assure you, these machines are just not that advanced. Rant over. For now.
Great week.
Yeah the fact that schools aren’t closed and people still have to go to work – it’s like, when do you expect people to have free time to vote?? Absolutely agree with you about the voter ID and making it a national holiday. You are a saint for volunteering on election Day and dealing with that type of nonsense from people!
That’s great that your company supports a day of volunteering!
I agree with Jenn I do not understand why people get so up in arms over early voting?! I’m happy that MA offers it and I took full advantage.
Great week of workouts – you’ve reminded me that I need to get back to those boxing classes.
Yeah I really don’t know why people are opposed to early voting. If Election Day is not going to be a national holiday, then we need early voting to make to more accessible to everyone. But that’s probably the issue – some people don’t want to make it accessible to everyone – it’s really a shame.
I agree re: Our Future Selves, although I think they’re better as a podcast than a run. That said, they’re better than Peloton’s podcast was. 😡
All the seasons. In one day!
YES on election day. Was so glad when NY did so in 2019, but so irritated that selfish fuckwits voted last year against no fault absentee voting, because we need that too.
I’ve been doing more of the Our Future Selves Run are there are definitely some that are better than others – I really think it depends on who the guest is, lol.
I am so glad that CT finally has early voting, but it’s ridiculous that it took this long.
Great week of workouts as always, Kim! And how cool that you were able to volunteer virtually.
