Happy Sunday. I hope that everyone had a great week. I was off work on Monday (Juneteenth) and Tuesday (PTO) so I had a nice short week. Luckily I was able to get in a good mix of workouts.
Monday, June 20
Classic Rock Run 5/1/22 – Tobias (30 minutes)
Dance Music Ride 6/11/22 – Mila (20 minutes)
Barbra Streisand Cool Down Ride 6/15/22 – Christine (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
#nevermissamonday! I had the day off work for Juneteenth so I went to a late morning OTF class. It was nice to have a bit of extra time in the morning. The OTF class was more strength focused which was a nice break from all the endurance style workouts lately.
Tuesday, June 21
Warm Up Run 11/4/21 – Joslyn (10 minutes)
Saturday60: Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 5/7/22 – Jess (60 minutes)
Juneteenth Barre 6/19/22 – Ally (20 minutes)
Barbra Streisand Yoga Flow 6/15/22 – Ross (45 minutes)
I knew I wanted to knock out my miles for #3for31 and get in some strength training before my Amtrak train to Boston. A warm up run and a Saturday60 class was perfect for both. Later on in the day I did a yoga class to get the International Day of Yoga badge for my Apple watch.
Wednesday, June 22
Spotify Women of Rock Two For One Run 4/27/22 – Joslyn & Susie (30 minutes)
Metal Run 4/21/22 – Tobias (20 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 3/10/22 – Jeffrey (10 minutes)
Bodyweight Strength 11/19/19 – Jess (20 minutes)
Milky Way Core Strength 6/22/22 – Erik (10 minutes)
I’m staying at a hotel that is directly across the street from a beach. How could I not go for an outdoor run and take advantage of those views?!? It was a little windy but it was still a great run. I also wanted to get in some strength training. The hotel gym was small and a little crowded so I opted for bodyweight strength classes and did those in my room.
Thursday, June 23
Holiday Run 12/13/21 – Rebecca (30 minutes)
Rock Run 4/29/22 – Matt (20 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 6/15/22 – Tobias (5 minutes)
Bodyweight Strength 5/1/122 – Andy (30 minutes)
Alternative Yoga Flow 6/18/22 – Anna (30 minutes)
A similar stack to yesterday – definitely wanted to take advantage of the location and do more outdoor running, even though it was super foggy! Luckily there were no delays with my Amtrak train and I was back home by late afternoon. After unpacking, doing laundry and eating dinner, I did a yoga class to help with some stiffness from travel and doing a lot of walking/running over the past 2 days.
Friday, June 24
Honey Dijon Dance Music Run 6/21/22 – Matty (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Barbra Streisand Ride 6/15/22 – Leanne (30 minutes)
Energizing Meditation 5/16/22 – Kristin (10 minutes)
The honey Dijon Dance Music Run was SO good! Honey is a transgender DJ and producer and the playlist for the class had some of her favorite songs and her original songs as well. It felt good to be back to OTF after a few days. It also happened to be my studio’s 3rd birthday! So crazy to think they have been opened for 3 years and I’m so proud of how they navigated through all the craziness of Covid and how they continue to expand in Stamford (they just opened up a new studio on the other side of Stamford a few weeks ago). I needed to do the energizing meditation to help bring down my anger after hearing about Roe v. Wade.
Saturday, June 25
80s Walk 6/18/22 – Jon (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (45 minutes)
Barbra Streisand Ride 6/15/22 – Benny (30 minutes)
Bodyweight Strength 6/23/22 – Jermaine (20 minutes)
The 80s walk with Jon was a blast! I love his constant positive spirit and energy. Took advantage of a 45 min OTF class. I don’t usually do OTF classes on the weekend but had to this week since I was out of town for 3 days. I really do miss those 45 minute classes! The treadmill block was endurance based so my legs didn’t love it, but it wasn’t too bad.
Sunday, June 26
Milky Chance Ride 6/22/22 – Erik (30 minutes)
Milky Chance Run 6/22/22 – Tobias (30 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 3/15/22 – Daniel (10 minutes)
Barre 4/30/21 – Hannah (20 minutes)
I definitely had to talk myself into working out this morning but as always, I’m glad I did.
Summary:
Running – 22.1 miles
Cycle – 24.43 miles
Strength Training – 120 minutes
Orangetheory Fitness – 165 minutes
Bootcamp – 60 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 631/631
I had a great time visiting my friend in Boston this week. She was there for work so we were only able to hang out in the morning and evening but we took full advantage of the free time we had together. I haven’t seen her since 2019 so it was long overdue. Our only complaint was the weather – it was so windy and felt like Fall!
While I love working my way through the Peloton Artist Series classes, it was a STRUGGLE for me to get through the Barbra Streisand classes. I don’t know who at Peloton thought that this would be a good idea for an Artist Series. Barbra is just not what comes to mind when you think about working out, lol. And speaking of Artist Series classes, I’m finally all caught up…for now, lol. It seems like Peloton releases new Artist Series classes every week or every other week so I’m sure I’ll be “behind” again soon.
…and now for this week’s memes.

Not a meme, but I really liked this and wanted to share.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Tuesday Topics: My Perfect Workout Playlist
How fun that you got to go to Boston and see your friend! I’ve never stayed near a beach in Boston, but I have enjoyed running along the river.
LOL on the Barbara Streisand classes. I did a stretch class and could not image getting through a ride!
There were two Barbra Streisand rides and those were rough, lol. Leanne and Benny seemed like they enjoyed teaching the classes, so I guess that’s a plus!
lol on the duck! So glad that you got to go hang out with a friend this week. Hope that gave you a nice break. Agreed on the Barbra music. It was ok for Robin’s stretch but still kind of distracting and odd. Lately, there are a lot of artists I have never even heard of!
Thanks! I enjoyed seeing my friend even though I was nervous about traveling on Amtrak. I haven’t really travelled anywhere since Covid.
Yup, definitely kind of odd. It seems like the general consensus is that the Barbra classes were not that great, lol.
That’s great that you got to see friends in Boston. I love that city but haven’t been in years. And of course, you need to go for a run if there’s an ocean view. Here too it felt like fall until Saturday when it was 90 and I had a race. Boo!
I need to remember those Peleton walks while I still have a subscription. Streisand wouldn’t excite me either.
Love those memes!!
Definitely do a few Peloton walk while you have the app – most of them are really good!
Ha ha ha that duck meme!!! I know I say this frequently, but you always showcase such a great variety of workouts! I should cue up sone of the walking classes for my outdoor walks (#duh).
The duck meme made me literally laugh out loud because i hate when my phone auto corrects it!
How fun to meet your friend in Boston. I truly don’t think I’ve been back there since I ran the marathon a billion years ago. Nice job on all the workouts. I enjoyed Matty’s Honey Dijon run as well! And I runfess I skipped all the Barbara S stuff. Zero interest.
I don’t think I’ve been to Boston since 2018 or 2019. We were in a city right outside of Boston so it wasn’t as populated but still really nice.
Yeah, good question- who decided Barbra Streisand would be an artist for Peloton? Definitely a weird choice. You deserve extra credit for getting through those classes!
Glad you were able to travel to Boston and see your friend! Sounds like a nice trip in spite of the weather.
Have a great week!
Such an odd choice! I hope their next Artist series classes are better.
Lovely to get to see your friend! But yes, I can’t see Barbra as workout music in the slightest. How peculiar!
Right?! It was just such an odd choice lol
So happy you got to get together with a friend! It’s always fun. Sorry the weather wasn’t better. Good job on getting out there to run in it anyway!
Thanks Judy!
How nice that you had a little break from work AND got out of town! I love my little getaways too. It’s easier than taking a long vacation and you still get all the fun.
I too was upset about Roe v Wade and now we wait for the fallout. Just when the Jan 6 hearings were starting to make me feel better about things. What a ducked up country we live in. :p
I agree – having two days off to extend my weekend was a nice treat. I will be doing more 3 day weekends this summer vs longer vacations.
i see what you did there with ducked up, lol. But sadly, yes this country needs to get their act together and fast.
Yay for getting to see your friend! Need to get you back up this way more often 😉
The Barbara Streisand choice was just so odd – I still can’t bring myself to try the classes.
And yes…it’s never duck LOL!
For sure! This was my first trip since 2019 so I’m still trying to get comfortable with traveling 🙂
Duck and food bloggers for the win.
Although I finally have some “basics”
Yay Boston trip. Waterfront running is the best.
I feel the same as you on Streisand with the classical It just doesn’t work
Totally agree. nothing beats running and walking along the water, it’s so peaceful.
