Happy Sunday. Another week with lots of heat here in the Northeast. We might as well say Summer is here, even though it’s not official until June 20.
Here’s a rundown of my workouts from this week:
Monday, June 7
Peloton Warm Up Run 8/26/19 – Jess (10 minutes)
Peloton RENT Run 6/1/21 – Jess K (30 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 3/16/21 – Irene (10 minutes)
Peloton Pride: Power Zone Endurance Ride 6/24/20 – Matt (30 minutes)
Peloton RENT Full Body Strength 6/3/21 – Matty (30 minutes)
Peloton Full Body Stretch 11/21/18 – Selena (5 minutes)
I did a little bit of everything to start off the week. I’m not a huge Broadway fan but both the RENT classes were pretty good.
Tuesday, June 8
Peloton Pride Run 6/21/20 – Matt (30 minutes)
Peloton Core Stretch 3/16/21 – Irene (5 minutes)
Peloton Pride Ride 7/24/20 – Erik (30 minutes)
Peloton Pride: Broadway Ride 6/26/20 – Sam (30 minutes)
Peloton Post Ride Stretch 6/4/21 – Sam (5 minutes)
I really enjoyed the Pride run with Matt. Toward the end of the class he spoke about how we can all do our part to help any and all communities that are treated unfairly. Although the problems are large, we can all do our part to treat everyone with fairness and respect. Both Pride rides were good, especially the one with Sam. He’s really growing on me as an instructor, primarily because he literally smiles all the time!
Wednesday, June 9
Peloton Hip Hop Walk 6/8/21 – Jess (20 minutes)
Peloton Walk + Core 10/2/19 – Jess (30 minutes)
Peloton Years & Years Ride 6/3/21 – Leanne (30 minutes)
Peloton LHM: Fresh Friday Ride 10/2/20 – Denis (20 minutes)
Peloton Post-Ride Stretch 5/12/21 – Hannah F (5 minutes)
I really enjoy the walking bootcamps. I think I’ve done all the ones with Jess so I’ll need to find the other ones available with different instructors. I didn’t enjoy the Years & Years ride since I’m not familiar with their music (actually never heard of the artist), but you know I always do all the Artist Series classes so I just tuned out the music and listened to Leanne. She’s always so bubbly so it made the ride bearable. Luckily the ride with Denis was awesome!
Thursday, June 10
Peloton Pride Ride: Live From Home 6/22/20 – Jess K (30 minutes)
Peloton Pride Run 6/17/20 – Matty (30 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 5/2/21 – Ben (10 minutes)
Peloton Pride Celebration Bootcamp 6/7/21 – Andy (30 minutes)
Peloton Post-run Stretch 2/16/21 – Matty (5 minutes)
I usually don’t take too many ride with Jess King (she can be A LOT, but in a good way), but this Pride ride from last year was a lot of fun. She went all out with her outfit and decorations as she taught the class from home. Another get Pride run from Matty and the AMRAP at the end of the Pride Bootcamp was very spicy!
Friday, June 11
Peloton Sam Smith Run 6/10/21 – Becs (30 minutes)
Peloton Sam Smith Core Strength 6/10/21 – Emma (10 minutes)
Peloton Sam Smith Ride 6/9/21 – Kendall (30 minutes)
Peloton Sam Smith Bike Bootcamp 6/11/21 – Cody (30 minutes)
Peloton Post-Ride Stretch 9/21/20 – Matt (5 minutes)
I was looking forward to this stack all week! I love Sam Smith’s music. Sam is non-binary and I appreciated that all of the instructors used Sam’s preferred pronouns which are they/them (Becs actually re-recorded her run because she used the wrong pronouns for Sam). I feel like these classes open up a dialogue and serve as a source of education, which is always a great thing.
Saturday, June 12
Peloton Pride Ride: Live From Home 6/10/20 – Robin (30 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 3/22/21 – Irene (10 minutes)
Peloton Full Body Advanced Bootcamp 6/12/21 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton Full Body Stretch 5/3/21 – Jess (10 minutes)
I completed my ride and core class before running an errand with my parents. Got back just in time for another #Saturday60 and this one was extra spicy. I knew it would be bad since it was advanced but the last 20 minutes of classes almost took me out. I literally could not stop sweating!
Sunday, June 13
Peloton Fit Family Brain Break 4/20/20 – Jess (5 minutes)
Peloton Fit Family Brain Break 7/28/20 – Jess (5 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 3/15/21 – Irene (5 minutes)
Peloton Core Strength 3/22/21 – Irene (10 minutes)
Peloton Pride Arms & Shoulders Strength 6/11/21 – Ben (15 minutes)
Peloton Upper Body Stretch 5/26/21 – Ben (5 minutes)
Originally I planned on doing a ride and a longer strength class today but I decided to pare down the workouts and so more of an active recovery day. I picked a few classes just to get my blood flowing. My lower back has been a little wonky lately so I’m hoping a day off from running/spinning will help.
Total Weekly Mileage: 14.2 miles
Summary: 8 runs*, 4 bootcamps, 8 cycle, 1 yoga and 10 strength/HIIT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 288/290
Next week I start OTF again. My class class was April 1st so I’m sure the first class back will be a very humbling experience lol. All of the classes now are mask optional, but you can sign up for reduced capacity or full capacity classes. The reduced capacity is how it’s been the last several months (empty space between the stations) so I opted for those classes for now.
On Thursday I completed the Peloton 2021 Annual Challenge by logging 15,000 minutes in workouts. I knew I would hit my goal early but didn’t think it would be this early – I kind of shocked myself!
…and now for this week’s memes
That’s it! I hope you had a great week ๐
Iโm linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Tuesday Topics: Bad Weather Running Tips
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Great job this week! That’s great that you can get back to OTF. Love the memes- seriously, the only thing we need to know is what the temperature feels like, especially in the summer.
kookyrunner says
haha right?! I hate when my weather app shows 80 degrees and then the real feel is close to 100 degrees.
Wendy says
Glad you’re going back to OTF. We’re at full capacity at CrossFit, but since it’s warm, they have the garage doors open. Plus I feel like I know everyone in my class and I think we’re all vaccinated.
Whelp, the #1 movie on my 10th birthday was The Godfather. Geez, I hope I don’t wake up with a horse head in my bed, lol. That croc meme made me LOL for real!
kookyrunner says
It’s great that you think everyone in the Crossfit class is vaccinated, and also that they have the garage door open. Unfortunately I’m always taking classes with a bunch of different people since I don’t go the same time every week. I wish I did so I could get a better sense of how many members were vaccinated.
That’s an interesting movie – at least you got a classic. I still can’t believe mine was TMNT, lol.
The croc meme is so ridiculous lol.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
As always, I love your memes Kim! They make me laugh. My movie is The Godfather– now that’s kind of scary!
I hear you on the active rest day today. First we were going to go on another hike, and it’s a nice day for that. But I realized my husband was tired from his day yesterday and I’d had plenty of activity this week. Then I wanted to squeeze in one more light strength training routine, since I’m usually shooting for 3 and only had 2 this week.
Then I slapped myself upside the head and said you know you need some rest, LOL! Like one more strength training sesh will make a difference.
kookyrunner says
Wendy also had The Godfather for her movie choice too!
The weather today was beautiful. I was outside briefly this morning as I was running errands and grocery shopping, but I probably should have gone for a long walk to take advantage of the low humidity.
I did end up doing a shorter 15 min upper body strength session just to get my blood flowing!
Kimberly Hatting says
What a week!! Huge congrats on the 2021 Challenge, done & dusted ((#BOOM)).
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much #kimtwin!
Jenny says
My movie is Sound of Music! I think that refers to my son going to college as a music major, and means I’ll be doing lot of hiking in beautiful locations. Let’s skip over the part with the nazis.
Love all the memes… the one with the dumbbells in the oreo aisle is hilarious.
Sounds like you had a great week! Glad you found a way to go back to OTF. Good luck with the first class!
kookyrunner says
I also loved the Oreo meme because I find it to be very relatable lol.
Thanks for the well wishes about OTF!
Coco says
So, with TMNT, does that mean you get to eat pizza for the rest of your life? Not bad!
Woohoo on reaching that 15K mark! I just crossed 10K, so you are pretty far ahead of me, but you do have the bike and the tread now! I didnโt realize Sam was non-binary โ I guess I have heard others refer to them before. Itโs great that Becs re-did her run to fix that.
I still havenโt reached out to Cyclebar or OTF. I was eying the CorePower schedule but Iโm not ready to commit yet.
kookyrunner says
I like your thinking about TMNT and pizza since that’s my favorite food lol.
That’s why I love the Pride themed Peloton workouts – I always learn something new!
I hope that things go well when you decide to go back to CorePower, OTF and Cyclebar.
Darlene S Cardillo says
Congrats on teh Challenge. That is awesome.
I don’t miss Peleton per se but I miss the artist series.
Wow. You always have such an active week.
Enjoy OTF. I bet you missed it.
That Target meme is so me!
kookyrunner says
The Target meme is also me as well, even when I go in with a list I still spend more money that planned, lol.
I am a little nervous about going back but I do miss OTF!
Michelle D. says
OMG your memes had me literally laughing out loud, especially the one with the Oreos. Oh, and on the top grossing movie? On my birthday, The Exorcist (it had been re-issued) – I don’t know what to do with that one LOL
Awesome week for you and congrats on completing the Peloton Annual Challenge! You have been crushing your workouts!
Good luck with the return to OTF!
kookyrunner says
The one with the Oreos cracks me up because I could see myself doing that ๐
Hmmm your movie selection has me concerned, lol.
Deborah Brooks says
wow you are already at 15K! I better get moving to catch up. Since I don’t do any run classes i miss out on all of the minutes. Do you love your Peloton tread?? Nice work this week and great variety
kookyrunner says
I’m loving the tread so far because the run feels smooth and my knees don’t hurt when I get off the treadmill so that’s a huge bonus! I do wish it were a little quieter though.
Marcia says
Congrats on hitting your goal so early in the year. That is amazing! I adore Sam Smith and his music!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Marcia!
Jessie says
Ha, the croc meme, so good. You just keep going with the Pelotons! You must be one of their biggest and most loyal customers!
kookyrunner says
The croc meme still makes me laugh ๐ I wish Peloton would give me a free membership for being a loyal customer lol.
Cari says
Sometimes I wish dumbbells were as easy to find as oreos, especially since we got a Target in the neighborhood.
Not familiar with Sam Smith’s music, but kudos on Becs. I wish they had the chance to do that more – the glaring errors in her NYC marathon run make me a little cranky.
LOL on the baby croc.
My bday was mid week so it’s either
Harlem Nights or Back to the Future Part II
Good luck with your OTF return and thanks for always being my Class dealer. Bookmarking many of these
kookyrunner says
I haven’t taken Becs NYC Marathon run so I didn’t know there were errors – now I want to take it just to hear what she’s talking about.
At least you have 2 cool movies to select from – I’d probably pick Harlem Nights.
“Class dealer” made me LOL.
Cari says
I have to find my notes from when I sent them to Coco, but basically she had the course all out of order in her recap. Only those of us who ran it would know, but it was just… odd
Renรฉe @runlaugheatpie says
great workout week for you! sorry to hear that your back has been wonky though ๐
I also saw the Oreo meme a few times (even saved it) – made me LOL so hard! Also I agree with you on the “real feel” – come on, who cares what it actually is if the real feel is 10 degrees higher!!!
kookyrunner says
The Oreo meme is most definitely me! I don’t really like cookies but Oreos are my favorite and I actively avoid that aisle in the supermarket, lol.
I think I just need to be more diligent on doing some lower body stretches throughout the day. Sitting for so long at my desk is really bad for my back.
Black Knight says
Congrats on the challenge!
The memes are really nice.
Have a good week.
kookyrunner says
thanks so much an hope you have a great week too!
Zenaida Arroyo says
My move is E.T. Huh? Go home. I want to go home. Does that mean I will get a home this year? ๐ I am a cat lover so I LOVE all cat memes. They all make me laugh. Awesome job on your workouts and meeting your goal of 15K minutes. My goal is 10K. I think I will make it.
kookyrunner says
E.T isn’t too bad of a choice for that meme, lol.
You will definitely make your 10K goal for he Peloton challenge!
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures says
wow – way to go getting your goal so early in the year! Hmmm, top movie for my year was Grease. 1) that makes me feel super duper old 2) Grease was a really good fun summer movie, so I’m happy if my year ends with a great party at the fair! ๐
kookyrunner says
I love the movie that you got for your year because it’s so fun!
