Happy Friday! As usual, since it’s the last Friday of the month, I’m linking up with Marcia from Marcia’s Healthy Slice for Runfessions. Let’s get this party started!
I runfess that I’m on the hunt for a new multivitamin
I have been using the same multivitamin for about 3 years but I think it’s time for a switch. I started to do research on othe rmultivitamins but I started to feel overwhelmed by all of the different options. I keep hearing about a brand called Ritual, but I don’t know anyone personally that uses their multivitamin. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
I runfess that I’m looking forward to using a bunch of PTO in November
I am very much looking forward to using a bunch of vacation days next month. I’ll have a 3 and 4 day weekend and I’m off the week of Thanksgiving. The past two months have been hectic (and that’s putting it nicely). I know I’m on the verge of burn out so the time off will not only be nice but it’s necessary. I won’t be traveling anywhere but totally disconnecting from work is really all I am looking forward to doing during my time off.
I runfess that sometimes I think I’m psychic
Less than a week ago I got detailing done on my car. I’ve never done that before but the car came out great so I was really happy with the work. Part of me just KNEW that something would happen to mess up the car and of course it did. A woman backed into car in a parking lot. Thankfully I was in the car so she couldn’t just leave the scene. It’s so annoying because I’ve never had any accidents/fender benders with any of my cars. I just hope dealing with her insurance isn’t going to be a huge deal to get the dent fixed. On the plus side, no one was hurt (thank goodness) but it’s just another item to add to my never ending “to do” list.
That’s it for this month – thanks for reading my runfessions! I hope that you have a great weekend!
Do you have anything you want to runfess for October?
Iโm also linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida for Fit Five Friday!
Darlene S Cardillo says
Yes. I agree. My car has been hit several times and it is so frustrating to deal with insurance and getting it fixed. I never even fixed it the last time. Just took the money.
I have always wanted my car detailed. Maybe as a Christmas present.
PTO!!! . I wish I had that. We have sick time and vacation time. And the vacation is limited and never seems like enough..
I do not take any vitamins. Can’t be of help. I think I did at one time…not sure it did anything. so decided not to waste the money. I just try to eat healthy (most of the time.)
kookyrunner says
I’ve never had to deal with insurance for a fender bender but I’ve heard it can be a pain. I just hope I have the patience to deal with it.
Our PTO is pretty much vacation time. I get 20 days PTO for the year, but people that have been with the company for 20 years or more get 25 days PTO.
Michelle D. says
Ugh I’m so sorry about your car! Hopefully dealing with the insurance company won’t be a hassle.
I’m right there with you on work being super crazy. I’m glad you’ll be taking some time off – being able to unplug will do you a world of good.
It’s interesting that you mentioned Ritual. I was contacted by them a few weeks ago about promoting their product and when I let them know that I never promote anything I haven’t had a chance to try out, their response was to send me a contract for an affiliate agreement that would include 1 month free….Um big no.
kookyrunner says
I’m very much looking forward to unplugging next month – it’s very much needed!
Yikes – I don’t like that story about Ritual. If anything that would make me not want to try them out.
Marcia says
Enjoy your PTO! It’s a nice time of year to back away from work for a bit…not that I’d know anything about that. Ha! What a bummer on the fender bender. Glad nobody was hurt but still. Royal PIA.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! December tends to be a busy time at work so November is a good time to take off for a few days before the end of year craziness!
Deborah Brooks says
oh no how annoying on your car! Sounds like taking some time off is just what you need. Hope you are able to relax and do some fun stuff this month, I have been using one a day vitamins for years. I supplement w extra magnesium and a great fish oil w tons of vitamin D. I have a great rec for those if you are interested
kookyrunner says
I’ll probably end up running errands on my days off but that’s fine because then I can cross things off my to-do list ๐ Thanks for the MVI recommendation – I already take the other supplements that you mentioned so I’m good on those ๐
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
I am sorry about the fender bender. Unfortunately they do happen (I’ve had a couple) but that sucks that it happened right after your car was detailed.
I hope you are really able to unplug and relax this month, Kim. It sounds like you really need it! Enjoy!
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy! After releasing a few F bombs in the car, I was fine and put it into perspective. At least no one was injured, or hit.
Kimberly Hatting says
Bummer on the fender bender. The hubby & our youngest got hit recently when the other driver failed to yield at a busy intersection. Thankfully the insurance ordeal wasnโt a headache & got resolved quickly. No injuries, which is the main thing. Enjoy all that well-earned PTO!
kookyrunner says
Glad to hear that your husband and youngest were okay – Drivers just really do not pay attention anymore, it’s so frustrating. And to not yield at a busy intersection? Craziness!
Wendy says
After I got my car detailed, I was worried about that very thing happening! Typical, right? Glad it wasn’t worse, but yeah, what a pain to get it fixed.
So I don’t recommend MVIs to my patients. Since our grains are mostly fortified, I don’t feel like we need extra of those vitamins. But I do recommend Vitamin D and fish oil to everyone. Just my 2 cents… ๐
kookyrunner says
As soon as I heard the hit I let out a few F bombs before getting out of the car. Ugh!
I welcome your opinion on MVI’s. I do take a few supplements, including vitamin D and fish oil so I’m on the right track with that at least!
Jenny says
How annoying! you got your car detailed and then someone backed into you? I hope you can get it fixed without oo much of a hassle.
I don’t take a multi, but I do take a bone building supplement that has all sorts of minerals and Vitamin D. I’ve heard of Ritual- they’re a sponsor of the Rich Roll podcast so I assume it’s a good brand. But I don’t have any firsthand experience with it.
Enjoy your upcoming time off! You definitely deserve it.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jenny. Yeah I’m hoping it won’t take too many calls on my end to get this all fixed.
Cari says
Glad you’re OK and your car mostly is. I feel you on the PTO. Essentially off the second half of the month and.. necessary. Hugs
kookyrunner says
Glad that you’re taking some time off next month too!
Coco says
Oh, bummer on your car. Glad it was a fender bender, but itโs still a hassle. And probably not what you want to spend your PTO on!
Iโm not a vitamin taker, so Iโm no help there, but why do you want to change?
kookyrunner says
No, definitely didn’t want to spend my PTO dealing with car insurance companies, but I’m hopeful it won’t be awful.
I’m just looking for more “clean” multivitamins. The ones I take are okay I guess but would prefer if the ingredients were better.
Black Knight says
Sorry for your car. Mine was hit several time in the parkings and I have found the “guilty”.
Enjoy your upcoming time off. It’s necessary for physical and mental health.
Black Knight says
I meant: I have never found the “guilty.”
kookyrunner says
Oh that’s such a bummer ๐ I could never hit someone’s car and not leave a note. People are so selfish nowadays!
Jenn says
I hope you have a wonderful time with your PTO. That must feel so good.
That’s crazy about the car! I think we all have a little psychic in us, but it’s always neat when it comes out.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jen! I’m looking forward to having some extended time off work soon – just need a break from the craziness.
