Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: You’ve won an all-expenses paid trip to run a race anywhere in the world. What race would it be? Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
I couldn’t narrow down my choice to just one race, but both of my options are international races.
This is probably the only race that would make me come out of retirement for marathons. I entered the lottery several times but never got selected – but no surprise as it’s a very hard race to get into via the lottery. I visited London for work several years ago and I really, really enjoyed it. Since I was there for work I didn’t have too much free time to do a lot of exploring, but I loved what I was able to fit in! It would be amazing to visit London again and run the marathon to see even more of the city. I also know several people that have run the race and they all speak very highly of it. Another reason I would want to run the London race? I want to buy more chocolate from the UK, lol. When my former co-worker would visit from the UK, she would always bring over a variety of chocolates and they were SO delicious!
I’ve never been to Italy, and I don’t know anyone that has run this race, but I want to do it! Visiting Italy has been on my bucket list for a while. The race states that it has the “most breathtaking view of the Mediterranean” – how amazing does that sound?! Since this would be an all expenses paid trip, I would probably spend at least 10 days exploring Italy prior to the race which would include lots of delicious food and sightseeing.
Tell me: If price didn’t matter, where would you travel for your dram race?

I’ll join you for the Napoli City Half! It does sound amazing. London would be very cool as well. You need to find a new friend (or coworker) to bring you UK chocolates, ha ha.

The one downside of being a full-time remote worker is that I never get to see coworkers in person anymore so no more yummy international chocolate, lol.

I am Italian and I confirm that Naples is a very beautiful city; moreover, close to it, you can visit Sorrento peninsula and Amalfi coast: 2 pearls on the Thyrrenian sea with breathtaking landscapes.
I have run the Rome (twice) and Florence marathons: wonderful experience in wonderful cities full of art and history.
Another good place for the marathon is Venice.
I visited London 3 times and I also can tell that it is a beautiful city.

I’ve heard great things about both the Rome and Florence marathons. So awesome that you have run both!

Great choices! I would go with you too!

Thanks! I feel like both options would be spectacular races to run!

OOh I am going to Italy in a few weeks! That would be a fab place to run. I’ve wanted to do the London Landmark half marathon for a long time. Of course, I got in during the covid year and couldn’t go.

So exciting that you will be in Italy in a few weeks! I can’t wait to see all your photos while you’re there 🙂

London is one of my favourite cities! I went to university in Canterbury which is about 2 hours away from London by train – some of my most special memories are from there! Running London would be incredible!

London definitely seems like such a vibrant city!

Both sound awesome I hope you do get to run either or both.
My dream race was in Paris and I did it. I’d love to run one in Italy too.
If only I had time and $$$

I love that you were able to do your dream race in Paris!

Both are great choices! I really want to run London too – I entered the lottery again this year but it’s a long shot.
