Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: FREE topic. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post. I decided to do a part 2 for Off Topic Tuesday. I love this topic because it’s fun and it doesn’t have to be running or fitness related. Today I am going to talk about a few of my favorites across different topics.
Favorite City: Chicago. This really shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone as I speak about this city often, lol. And yes, while I love NYC, I always feel like Chicago has more unique things to offer. I love the food, the architecture, the weather, all the running areas and races, etc. It’s just a cool city!
Favorite Month: December. I know the end of the year can be stressful but it can also be so much fun as well. I love the cold weather and getting into the holiday spirit.
Favorite Social Media Platform: TikTok. While I will always love Instagram, it just doesn’t hold my attention like it used to. I will post things on my IG stories, but I haven’t posted anything to my feed since late 2021. I just don’t feel like I have anything interesting to share, but also static posts don’t get a lot of engagement and I’m not going to make reels. I like viewing videos on TikTok because the range of topics is always super interesting.
Favorite Sneaker Brand: Brooks. I first started running in Asics, then I moved onto Mizuno for a few years, but for the last 3-4 years I have purchased Brooks sneakers for all my walking and running needs.
Favorite Athletic Clothing Brand: Old Navy. Okay, hear me out. Yes, I know Old Navy doesn’t just make athletic clothing, but I have been a big fan, and user, of their athletic wear for over 6 years. Their items are affordable, long-lasting, and they come in awesome colors and patterns.
Favorite TV Show: Grey’s Anatomy. I am a “late watcher” to the show as I didn’t really get into it until a few years ago, but I think each season gets better and better. I love how they tackle numerous timely and relevant storylines and the writing is always so good!

I think TikTok has a great algorithm that hits your preferences pretty well.
I’m not actively on TikTok, but I love browsing it in between. And the comments are hilarious, too.

It really does! I often like most of the videos that show up on my “for you page” feed.
I think my least favorite month is August – just way too hot and humid.
I’m a fan of Tiktok too–it’s funny how you will go there to watch one video and then an hour later..lol

Yay Chicago! It really is a unique place. And I’ll agree that the holidays are my favorite time of year, but I might have to put my favorite month as November. i love Thanksgiving, and the day after Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite day, when we take out all the Christmas stuff. It’s coming up!
I can’t say Old Navy is my “favorite” brand, but I do have some of their tank tops and I like them. I would be happier with them if their shirts didn’t all have saying on them, like “Run Rest Repeat” or “Lunges and Lattes.” I would prefer plain shirts.
I also love Thanksgiving! I don’t think it gets as much love as Christmas or Hanukkah but it’s still such a great family oriented holiday.

I agree on Gray’s Amatony! I know most people think it jumped the shark long ago I still enjoy it.
I’ve never thought about a favorite month . . . Probably somewhere in Spring when the flowers are blooming. So June . . . 🙂 Really not sure though. Will have to think about that!
I have often heard that about Grey’s Anatomy, but I think because I didn’t watch it from the beginning, I never felt like it jumped the shark.
I social media fess that don’t get Tik Tok, but I love the videos people share to Twitter. I just am not a video consumer, generally.

I am trying to get into Tik Tok but it is a lot! You know I love all things Brooks. My other fave activewear is Lulu and Sweaty Betty
That’s how I feel about NYC after living there after grad school. It was fun for a while but then I was just over it – a much better city to visit!

Favorite city? I agree that Chicago is up there! I also love NYC, San Francisco, and Paris…not sure I can pick just one! A big yes to Brooks – I also love SkirtSports and Athleta. And, would you believe I’ve never seen an episode of Grey’s Anatomy?
