Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This weekโs Tuesday Topic: What’s on your Spring Bucket List?. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
With the official start of Spring only a few days away (despite the snowy weather we had this weekend), it’s time to start thinking about your Spring Bucket List. What fun things do you want to do this Spring? Here’s my list so far:
Try out new restaurants
It’s kind of odd, but Stamford has had many new restaurants pop up since the start of the pandemic. I haven’t been to any of them yet. I don’t consider myself a “foodie” but one thing I used to enjoy pre-Covid was going out to a restaurant every week. I plan to take advantage of outdoor dining more this Spring and Summer.
Pizza!
I know this probably seems like a silly bucket list item, but I gave up pizza for Lent so I have no doubt that I will be very much looking forward to enjoying a good slice of pizza after Easter, lol.
Have a fun birthday ๐
My birthday is in April and this year it falls on a Friday so I took the day off from work. I don’t have any plans but I’m looking forward to getting in my birthday burn at OTF, maybe a few birthday shoutouts on Peloton (depending on who is teaching live classes that day), and enjoying takeout and a piece of yummy birthday cake ๐
More walking
I really want to get outdoors more often, especially during the week. With the weather getting nicer, I hope to squeeze in a few 30 minute afternoon walks. Not only is a great way to clear my head, but it also breaks up the workday. I also hope to get in more walking/hiking on the weekends.
Tell me: What’s on your Spring Bucket List?

Topic for next week – What do you do after a long run or race?
Darlene says
All good things to look forward to.
I hope to walk more. Itโs hard to get out there when itโs cold and icy.
Of course continue racing. Add some trails and yes I have a May birthday and a getaway planned.
kookyrunner says
So fun that you have a getaway planned for May ๐ I think I am going to take some time off i May but not sure if I will go anywhere or just make it a staycation.

Iโm looking forward to more consistent walking, too. I did so much walking while we were in Florida, and that tanked upon returning to the frigid temps of Iowa last month. Hopefully, the last of winter temps & conditions are over (for awhile, at least).
kookyrunner says
Maybe we can do some walking chats this Spring during our lunch breaks ๐

Taking your birthday off is a great idea! I used to do that occasionally when I still worked outside the home.
As it gets warmer, we usually walk Bandit twice a day instead of just once. It will be a rude awakening for Mr. Judy. ๐ It’s kind of hard for me to just go out & walk because Bandit just looks at me sadly. ๐
Your bucket list sounds really doable. I hope it all comes true, Kim!

I usually only take the day off if my birthday is on a Monday or Friday so I can enjoy a 3-day weekend, lol.
Dogs are SO good at guilting you into extra walks. My dog would do this all the time, lol.
Catrina says
If your birthday is after Easter you could combine goals 1, 2 and 3 together! Have pizza at a fancy restaurant the night before your birthday!
Yes to getting outdoors, Kim! To me, it makes all the difference. Especially if I manage to walk in a forest, a park or by the sea. I’ve just come back from a long run by the coast – it is physically tiring but mentally refreshing.
kookyrunner says
You know what – I like the way you think but unfortunately my birthday is before Easter this year ๐
I used to live in an apartment that was by the water and I would often walk outside to enjoy that. I don’t live too far from that area now so I may take a drive and do a few walks down there. It was always so relaxing!
Virjinia @ With Purpose and Kindness says
Taking your birthday off from work is the best idea! Especially since you’ll get a three day weekend. I think outdoor walks are definitely a must for Spring. With the time change, my husband and I didn’t mind staying out a bit later yesterday! You should do a round up post of the restaurants you were able to try!
kookyrunner says
I love when my birthday falls on a Monday or Friday, lol. Marcia had a great idea about after dinner walks and I think I might try that this Spring.
Zenaida Arroyo says
I love the idea about the restaurants! I know we have Restaurant Week here (not sure when) and have always wondered about it.
kookyrunner says
We have a Restaurant Week here in August so I’ll try to take advantage of that.
Marcia says
Some fun things are on your bucket list! I’ve had my walking game on point for awhile now but since it’s warmed up AND it’s lighter later, we’ve been able to walk after dinner and that is SO enjoyable! Have fun making your birthday plans!
kookyrunner says
That’s a great idea about after dinner walks, especially with the increase in daylight now.
Deborah Brooks says
It is nice to get back to going out to restaurants again! Well, more pizza is always a nice goal. Happy almost birthday
kookyrunner says
Totally agree about more pizza always being a goal, lol.
Jenny says
Sounds like you have a fun spring ahead of you! We’ve also had a bunch of new restaurants open near us, which I also felt was odd. My birthday is coming up next Monday (bleh! Why does it have to be on a Monday?) and I will have to work (sigh.). Hopefully your birthday will be much more fun!
kookyrunner says
Happy birthday! I hope you get some free time to celebrate today. I’m also an Aries ๐
Cari says
There was a local restaurant growing up whose ad was Pizza Pizza! even before the national chain and that’s what I thought reading your post. Pizza is never silly.
I’m with you on the walks. Good for the soul!
Will join you for a pelo party if the timing works
kookyrunner says
Totally agree about walking being good for the soul!
