Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: What are your Summer fitness goals?. Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
This Summer, I’m not planning on taking on any new fitness classes, but I do have a few goals that I would like to work on from now until the end of August.
Complete 4 of my 2022 Goals
In January, I shared 6 Peloton goals and I’m sure I can finish more than half of these goals this summer. These are the goals I will aim to complete by the end of August:
1,000 Cycling Classes (currently at 984 classes)
700 Strength Classes (currently at 658 classes)
500 Running Classes (currently at 454 classes)
250 Walking Classes (currently at 233 classes)
Aim to lose 10-12 pounds
Between stress eating in March/April due to work and the hormones from my egg freezing cycle, I’m just not where I want to be in terms of my weight. My workout clothes feel tighter so I that’s my sign to make smarter food choices. This will include getting back to meal planning. I notice that since I work from home, I tend to “graze” all day – not really eating meals but doing more snacking, and those calories add up. I’ve also been enjoy sweets a little too much. The good thing is that I know what needs to be done for me to hit my goals and I plan to do that this summer.

Good luck with your Peleton goals. You seem to be on track.
Well since I work from home too, I know that it is so easy to skip meals. I do it all the time. And I eat ice cream too much since it’s summer. Thanks for the reminder.
My goals are to eat better, walk more and drink more water.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Darlene. I am surprised I will be able to finish most of them before December. Maybe I need to aim higher for next year’s Peloton goals, lol.
Love your goals for the summer.
Catrina says
You’ll finish those 4 Peloton goals by the end of JUNE, never mind August, Kim! Great job!
Ah, the grazing. Yes, I do that too. The only thing I can do to counteract that is to ensure I only have healthy stuff at home. Kohlrabi, salad and cucumber are not very appealing snack options, ha!
In terms of summer goals, I hope my training cycle will go well for the upcoming Berlin Marathon in September.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Catrina! I need to take your advice to only have healthy options in the house. I know that will help with the grazing a lot.
Love your summer goals, especially the Berlin Marathon!
Coco says
I am sure you will nail all those Peloton goals.
I need to dial in my nutrition. I was doing better, but my recent trips derailed me big time!
kookyrunner says
Traveling always throws a wrench in healthy eating!
Kimberly Hatting says
I’m with ya…my weight has not gone up (thankfully!), but I’m feeling soft in a few spots…and I Know it’s my food choices. Why do sugar and cheese taste SO GOOD?????
kookyrunner says
My downfall is always cupcakes and cakes, lol. Thankfully I don’t eat a lot of candy or cookies so I have willpower to bypass those options.
Deborah Brooks says
I am also trying to get back on track with eating after my travel. I enjoyed way too many glasses of wine and way more bread than usual! Nice progress on those Peloton goals!
kookyrunner says
It’s so hard to not indulge when travelling, but I know you’ll be back on track in no time!
San says
Way to go on the Peloton goals, so many milestones ahead.
kookyrunner says
Thanks San!
Virjinia @ With Purpose and Kindness says
Those are some great goals! I think you’ll be able to hit those milestones without any issues because I know how devoted you are to Peloton. Hopefully the pounds will fall off as you work towards those milestones as well! From what I understand, egg retrieval can be hard on your body so I’m sure now that you’re focused on it, you’ll be able to get where you want to be.
kookyrunner says
I sure hope so! I think that dialing in my nutrition will help the most so I’m really focused on that currently.
Chocolaterunsjudy says
Good luck with both your goals! I know for me, 10-12 lbs would never come off in a few months. But I hear you on how a few extra pounds can make you feel not so great.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Judy. In the past I’ve been able to drop 10 pounds in about 2 months. Not sure if that will be the case this time, but I would be happy with at least losing 5. I’m short so every pound makes a difference lol.
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
You’re so close to reaching your four remaining Peloton goals. You’ve got this!
I hear you, it’s way too easy to graze when working from home…
kookyrunner says
Thanks for the encouragement Debbie!
Denise says
It looks like you are very close to meeting all your goals. Strong work Kim!
I hear you when you about the grazing. I’m working remotely today and I think I’ve had 4 pieces of sourdough toast. Ugh!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Denise! Hopefully this will be the Summer of crushing goals 🙂
Shathiso says
Most of those peloton goals are in sight now! You’ve got this!
As for the grazing while working from home – I know all about that! And it being winter here now, I seem to be always looking for some “comfort” to warm me up! I will have to be a lot more mindful of eating going forward. Good luck on your journey in this area!
kookyrunner says
The grazing can be such a hard habit to break! It’s just way to easy to go to the refrigerator while working from home.
Jenny says
Your Peloton goals are impressive! 1000 cycling classes will be a fun one to get. Working from home would be SO HARD, eating-wise. It sounds like you have a clear plan for losing those extra pounds- plus with all those classes- you will be strong and muscular! Good luck with it.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Jenny! I’m aiming to hit the 1,000 cycle class milestone later on this month. I just need to check the live schedule to see if I can make that happen.
Zenaida Arroyo says
Love your Peloton goals! Let’s do something together to lose that weight. I don’t want to focus so much on the number but I do want my clothes to fit better. My shorts are getting tighter and that is no bueno.
kookyrunner says
Same here! I don’t have a specific number in mind but would like my clothes to feel better!
