Happy Sunday! I know I’ve been MIA for the past 2 weeks. Work has just been out on control busy and I really didn’t have the time, or energy, to blog. Luckily I wrapped up a huge project on Thursday, so things are just back to being busy instead of completely insane 🙂 I still got in my workouts but I’ll just be recapping this past week.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, April 24
Mood Ride: Heated 5/26/21 – Jess K (30 minutes)
Core Strength 1/10/23 – Jermaine (5 minutes)
Warm Up Run 7/12/19 – Becs (10 minutes)
Teacher Appreciation Bootcamp 5/3/22 – Jess (45 minutes)
I forgot how much I enjoy the 45 minute bootcamp classes with Jess. This was a really good one because she showed tons of love and respect to teachers.
Tuesday, April 25
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
London Ride (30 minutes)
I looked at the scenic rides to see if there were any that I still needed to take and saw this ride through London with Hannah F. I had a feeling I would enjoy it and I was right – her personality, mixed with the sights of London, made for a really good class. OTF had a great template too – more switching than normal but it worked out well due to the length of the blocks per station.
Wednesday, April 26
Puerto Rico Scenic Ride (20 minutes)
HIIT Run 11/19/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Floor Bootcamp 4/11/22 – Jess & Selena (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Puerto Rico is one of my favorite places to visit so the Puerto Rico scenic ride was awesome. I’ve mainly explored Old San Juan each time I have been there, so it was nice to see a different area. Peloton released the floor bootcamp classes last year but this was my first time taking one of the classes. To me it felt like a really good strength class with minimal cardio mixed in. I will definitely take more of these classes in the future.
Thursday, April 27
Mood Ride: Frustrated 5/18/22 – Hannah F (20 minutes)
Mood Ride: Anxious 5/18/22 – Kendall (20 minutes)
2000s Bootcamp 9/29/20 – Jess (30 minutes)
90s Dance Walk 4/26/23 – Matty (15 minutes)
Core Strength 4/12/23 – Rad (5 minutes)
It was a busy day so I split up my workout in the morning and afternoon. It was report launch day so of course I slept like crap but still had to get up super early to do a triple check of everything. After I got stuff squared away by 7am, I hopped on the bike for two classes. The rest of the day was busy/stressful, but all in all, everything went well. After logging off work I finished up my workout. Matty’s 90s dance walk was so much fun, and just what I needed after a long day.
Friday, April 28
Oregon Scenic Ride (30 minutes)
2Pac Walk 4/27/23 – Marcel M (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The OTF template was pretty rough – increasing inclines on the treadmill and the strength block was pretty hard too. Plus my body just felt tired which I’m sure didn’t help. The 2Pac class was a lot of fun! I can always count on Marcel to bring tons of energy.
Saturday, April 29
2Pac Ride 4/27/23 – Tunde (30 minutes)
Intervals Run 11/16/22 – Jess (30 minutes)
2Pac Full Body Strength 4/27/23 – Adrian (30 minutes)
I was hopeful that I could catch up on sleep but of course my body was wide awake at 5am – ugh! Since I was up I figured I might as well be productive so I did some cleaning and laundry and went to the supermarket later on in the morning. It rained pretty hard all day, so it ended up being a great day to stay indoors for workouts.
Sunday, April 30
Mood Ride: Confident 5/26/21 – Leanne (20 minutes)
AT’s Ride to Greatness: Cool Down 3/25/23 – Alex (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Lift 45 (45 minutes)
2Pac Shadowboxing 4/27/23 – Kendall (20 minutes)
The OTF Lift 45 template today was a little different. Instead of doing multiple movements per block, we spent 3-4 minutes on one move. The goal was to go 6-10 reps, rest, and then repeat. The goal was to pick heavier weights since the rep count was low. It was a little boring at times because of the lack of variety, but it was a very effective strength workout.
This week’s stats:
Bootcamp – 95 minutes
Cycle – 43.79 miles
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Running – 13.6 miles
Strength Training – 105 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 981/986*
*not including rowing classes
It feels good to be on the other side of all the craziness the past few weeks. I pride myself on being able to multi-task pretty well but even I have my limits, lol.
On a sad note, I found out on Saturday that my favorite OTF coach resigned. I’m actually pretty bummed about it because not only is she an amazing coach that truly cares about the members, but I consider her to be a friend too. I absolutely still plan on keeping in touch with her but it’s gonna be odd not seeing her a few times a week.
…and now for this week’s memes/funny tweets.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Sorry for all the craziness and stress at work! I need to checkout those mood classes…I don’t remember them at all!
kookyrunner says
I don’t think they have released mood classes in a while – I bookmarked them a while back so that’s the only reason they popped up for me lol.
Jenny says
Yes, I noticed you didn’t post last week! Work must have been really insane. I hope it calms down this week.
That’s a bummer about your OTF coach. I know, we assume these people will always be there for us and then it’s a shock when they resign or retire (I’m thinking of my dentist, ha ha.)
I love the cat/penguin meme.
kookyrunner says
I definitely knew that eventually all coaches move on but it was still such a gut punch. It’s going to suck not seeing here a few times a week.
San says
Some weeks are crazier than others 😉 I just returned from traveling overseas, so I definitely have some catching up to do.
You had a great week workout-wise. Thanks for the reminder: I always forget how much I love Jess’ bootcamp (and I need to put this on the schedule more often).
I am sorry to hear that your OTF coach resigned. I always hate when people that you’ve come to love and appreciate on your fitness journey disappear.
kookyrunner says
I love but also hate Jess’ bootcamps, lol.
Hope you have a good week!
Michelle says
Congrats on getting your big work project done! I feel your pain on the work craziness. I hope this means things will slow down for you.
Great job, as always with your workouts. That’s such a bummer about your favorite OTF coach 🙁
kookyrunner says
Thanks Michelle! I am on PTO next week and very much looking forward to it 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
Sorry you have been so crazed at work again! Hope this week is better for you. Nice work getting all those workouts in on such a busy week. Ugh for waking up at 5 am on the weekend!
kookyrunner says
I will never understand why I wake up so early on the days I can sleep in late. I’m convinced my body revolts against me on those days lol.
Cari says
Glad you’re OK — was worried not to see you around. I feel you on time & energy.
In the words of your artist series – Keep Ya Head Up and hang in there friend. xx
Sorry to hear about your coach,
kookyrunner says
Thanks Cari! I just didn’t want to be in front of a laptop if I didn’t need to be, so blogging definitely took a backseat.
Wendy says
I’ve missed your posts! I’m sorry to hear that work has been so rough., but glad you’ve been able to get your workouts in. I’m sure it helps! I hope things are going to be much calmer.
That’s too bad about your OTF coach. Do you know where she’s going? It’s always hard to see a good coach leave.
kookyrunner says
I’m not sure of my coach is going to another studio, but I am planning on having lunch with her next week so I’m sure I’ll find out more. It just sucks because 90% of my classes were with her so we definitely formed a bond.
Marcia says
We’ve missed you! I hope things calm down for you at work. Things are going off the rails for me professionally as well. It’s tough. Nice workouts though and OMG that cat! Lol! Bummer about losing a favorite coach.
kookyrunner says
Thanks Marcia! It’s so tough when things are really hectic at work. Now that the main project is wrapped up, I know I will find myself playing catch up this week on emails, etc. It really never ends, lol.
Coco says
LOL on the Zoom meme.
I’m glad you got through your big work project. I find it takes a day or two for my adrenaline to settle down — then I crash hard!
I’ve been afraid of the floor bootcamps and cardio because I figure they have a lot of jumping jacks, which usually anger my calves.
kookyrunner says
The Zoom meme is me at least once a week, lol.
Totally agree about the post-project crash. Last night I experienced the crash and was in bed super early.
Susanne says
Well done getting all your fitness classes done this week. I’m sorry you’ve been so overwhelmed from work. Hope it’ll be better now with that finished project?
I can imagine that was a good strength workout – I’ve never thought of how many minutes I spend on one exercise in the gym, I always to 3×10 or 12 reps, but to keep going for a certain amount of time could be an interesting approach.
Liz Dexter says
Ha – the kitty and the penguins! Sorry to hear about your instructor and that you had such a busy time at work – I had one of those fortnights a while back when I went on holiday and didn’t tell one of my clients as I was SURE he was going to be spending the week still trying to sell a book on someone’s story. Nope, he spent it sending me massive tapes I had to transcribe when I got back as he’d sold the book! Anyway you’re back and I’m on my third week of 10-12 minute runs so we’re all getting there.
Jenn says
That is absolutely me on Zoom conferences. Why are they so terrible? Yuck!
I am glad you are through to the other side of all the madness, and I do hope you get a break soon. You work hard and deserve some relaxation.
