Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a great week. This felt like the shortest yet longest week ever – Don’t you just love when that happens?
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, June 19
90s Ride 6/16/23 – Mila (30 minutes)
Juneteenth Walk 6/17/23 – Kirsten (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
The OTF workout was rough so I was glad I had the day off work for the Juneteenth holiday. I spent the rest of the morning trying to recover from the workout, lol.
Tuesday, June 20
EDM Fun Run 9/21/19 – Jess (60 minutes)
Bodyweight Strength 3/22/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
I haven’t done a 60 minute run in a while and I wanted to make sure I took this class before it got purged. I’m not a huge EDM fan but the playlist was really good!
Wednesday, June 21
Hi-NRG Run 6/20/23 – Jon (20 minutes)
Madonna Core Strength 6/20/23 – Emma (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
Madonna Barre 6/20/23 – Hannah C (10 minutes)
Pop Yoga Flow 6/17/23 – Anna (20 minutes)
Emma’s core classes are always good and her Madonna core class didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the Hi-NRG run but it was pretty fun – a mix of dance and disco tracks, and of course a little treadmill dancing with Jon, lol.
Thursday, June 22
Depeche Mode Ride 6/18/23 – Charlotte (20 minutes)
Madonna Cool Down Ride 6/20/23 – Robin (10 minutes)
80s Walk 6/22/23 – Jess (30 minutes)
Madonna Standing Core Strength 6/21/23 – Rebecca (10 minutes)
80s Run 6/22/23 – Jess (20 minutes)
My schedule allowed me to hop on both live classes with Jess. It’ always nice when that works out. It was her first time doing 80s classes and I think she nailed the playlist/vibe. I wasn’t a fan of the standing core class, but the other Madonna cool down ride with Robin was nice.
Friday, June 23
Madonna Ride 6/22/23 – Camila (30 minutes)
Madonna Run 6/22/23 – Hannah F (30 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness (60 minutes)
There was a ton of switching in the OTF class, so it was hard to get the standard 12 splash points per class, but I was glad I cam close.
Saturday, June 24
Pop Run 6/12/23 – Olivia (30 minutes)
Extra 10: Madonna Walk 6/21/23 – Matty (10 minutes)
Madonna Ride 6/22/23 – Leanne (30 minutes)
Madonna Arms & Light Weights 6/21/23 – Ally (10 minutes)
Madonna Yoga Flow 6/22/23 – Mariana (30 minutes)
Absolutely LOVED all of these Madonna classes! You really can’t go wrong with any of these classes since Madonna has so many hits to choose from. Leanne’s ride was super fun and her energy was contagious.
In the afternoon I went to a local event called Brews on Bedford. I entered a giveaway earlier in the week and won 2 VIP tickets so I figured why not go and check it out. It was located downtown and it’s basically a beer sampling event. You get a small cup upon check-in and you use that to sample regional and craft beers. Although it was super humid, it never rained so at least we were able to stay dry. My dad and I had a good time and found two new beers that we really enjoyed.
Sunday, June 25
Orangetheory Fitness – Lift 45 (45 minutes)
Madonna Ride 6/22/23 – Benny (45 minutes)
Another fun Madonna class. I wasn’t a fan of today’s Lift45 template – it was way too leg focused. These classes are supposed to be a full body workout but we barely did any arms or core work. Despite that, it was still an okay workout.
This week’s stats:
Bootcamp – 0 minutes
Cycle – 34.61 miles
Orangetheory Fitness – 180 minutes
Running – 14.6 miles
Strength Training – 105 minutes
Peloton Artist Series Classes – 1,038/1,055*
*not including rowing classes
All in all, it was a good week. Kinda busy and a little hectic but I was able to find some time this weekend to catch up on things and relax a little bit. We’re “supposed” to get rain here the next 9 days but the weather has been so weird lately – who knows if that will actually happen. Also, anyone else dealing with the disgusting humidity this weekend? I am SO ready for that to leave!
…and now for this week’s funny memes/tweets.
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Ha the dog and stick remind me of my husband asking the Alexa if it’s raining when he could look out of the window! A strong week for you. Disgustingly humid over here, too!
kookyrunner says
LOL. I know so many people that use Alexa for literally everything.
Wendy says
OMG your dad’s pretzel necklace!!! I’m so glad you went with him! He looks good–is he back to his good health?
Nice week as usual, Kim!
kookyrunner says
Yes the pretzel necklace really made me laugh. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t that lol.
Yes! Overall he’s doing very well and all the doctors are happy with his progress.
Kimberly Hatting says
I have been loving ALL the Madonna classes! I might have to do the rides (inside, ugh) just for the music 😉 My daughter was telling me they make pretzel necklaces when her and her friends go out on the weekends, LOL.
kookyrunner says
Oh wow I didn’t know that pretzel necklaces were now a thing, lol. I mean it was pretty convenient!
Coco says
LOL on needing a day off after Monday’s OTF class. Some workouts just do you in.
There are SO MANY Madonna classes. I liked Emma’s core. Leanne’s ride is on my schedule for this week — she always has such good artist series classes.
That beer event sounds fun!
kookyrunner says
That OTF workout definitely zapped all my energy, lol.
Deborah Brooks says
Your dad looks great! So nice to see you both out and about together. Looks like you had a really solid week of workouts with great variety
kookyrunner says
Thanks! I’m trying to get out a little more this summer so this event was perfect for that.
San says
Sounds like a pretty good week. I took a couple of the Madonna classes and enjoyed them. 🙂 I also love when LIVE classes work with my schedule – seems to be a challenge what with being on the west coast sometimes.
So glad you got to spend some time with your dad! Precious memories made!
kookyrunner says
I find the live classes to be more fun – maybe it’s because of all the high fives and stuff 🙂
Michelle says
Great week Kim! I’m still working my way through the Madona classes – really can’t go wrong with her music.
The beer event sounds like fun. It’s great that you went with your dad – I love his pretzel necklace LOL
kookyrunner says
The Madonna classes have been great! I am going to do Cody’s Madonna class tomorrow which should be hysterical because Cody is a hot mess lol
Darlene Cardillo says
Sounds like a great week and the beer event seemed so fun!
I have a short work week coming up but it will so jammed packed with stuff so I know the feeling.
kookyrunner says
The beer event was cool! Nice way to sample a bunch of different breweries located in New England.
Jenn says
Is that a pug on a corn dog? A mozzarella stick? I am all in for that.
Great workouts and such a fun beer event. I love the DIY pretzel necklace!
kookyrunner says
I think it’s a pug on a cheeto – LOL.
Chocolaterunsjudy says
It does sound like a hectic week! and no, you can’t go wrong with Madonna IMHO either.
Glad you got some quality time with your Dad!
A Pug on a Cheeto. Ok, that is like my husband’s type of dreams!
kookyrunner says
The pug on a cheeto meme still makes me giggle!
Marcia says
The Brew event looks so fun! Amazing necklace on your dad! Haha! Great week of activity Kim!
kookyrunner says
Thanks so much Marcia!
Debbie says
How fun to go to the beer tasting with your dad (congrats on winning the VIP tickets). And what a great idea to make pretzel necklaces.
Our humidity didn’t really hit until Saturday – we were pretty lucky up until then.
kookyrunner says
The pretzel necklace was a first for me, but I ended up really liking it, lol
Jenny says
Ha, I didn’t notice your dad’s pretzel necklace at first. That event sounds FUN! I want to go to a beer sampling party!
I know what you mean about the standing core classes- they never do much for me.
Sounds like you had a great week!
kookyrunner says
Hahaha – it’s pretty funny! This was my first experience with a pretzel necklace.
Black Knight says
Depeche Mode: I went to their concert at the Olympic Stadium in Rome some years ago. It was fantastic!
Glad you spent good time with dad at the beer sampling party. What a pity, I’m teetotal so I cannot enjoy such kind of events. When I visited the Dublin Guinness Storehouse I didn’t taste beer, am I crazy?
Renée says
interesting. I was also at a DM concert at the stadium in Rome several years ago? Maybe we were there at the same time?
kookyrunner says
Oh wow that’s awesome! I have never seen them in concert but I can only imagine how much energy they bring to the stage.
Renée says
Well, I’d be all over the Depeche Mode ride for sure. I think I would have loved these Madonna classes as well! and your dad’s pretzel necklace is LIFE hahaha! I love a good beer tasting event.
good week again Kim!
kookyrunner says
The pretzel necklace still makes me laugh, lol.
Jessie says
oh, two VIP tickets to a beer fest! how fun! Lucky you, and I love that you were able to spend that time with your dad.
kookyrunner says
Thanks! It was actually a pretty fun event.
