Happy Sunday! This week felt super long. I think that a lot of people were off from work for the Thanksgiving holiday so my email was going crazy the first half of the week. Luckily I ended the week in a pretty good place with most of my projects completed or 90% done.
Here’s how my workouts went this week:
Monday, November 30
Peloton Bring the Heat Bootcamp 11/29/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
It’s always nice to start off the week with a bootcamp class!
Tuesday, December 1
Orangetheory Fitness – Endurance (45 minutes)
Happy December! It felt good to start off the month with an endurance style workout.
Wednesday, December 2
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Peloton Metallica Ride 11/23/20 – Erik (30 minutes)
The OTF class was a little weird – I didn’t like any of the blocks for class and a lot of the moves were timed vs. number of reps so that was a little frustrating.
Thursday, December 3
Peloton Advanced Bootcamp: Core 11/9/19 – Jess (60 minutes)
Peloton Outkast Yoga Flow 12/3/20 – Chelsea (30 minutes)
All I can say is that my abs are still a little sore from this class – yikes.
Friday, December 4
Peloton Outkast Ride 12/2/20 – Denis (30 minutes)
Peloton Outkast Run 12/3/20 – Andy (30 minutes)
These classes made me remember how much I love Outkast’s music. The ride with Denis was SO good! I love when you can feel the joy and excitement from the instructor during class. You could tell that he was a huge Outkast fan.
Saturday, December 5
Peloton 90s Hip Hop Bike Bootcamp 12/4/20 – Tunde (30 minutes)
Peloton Advanced Full Body Bootcamp 12/5/20 – Jess (60 minutes)
Loved both of these classes but they were hard! There may have been some curse words said during the full body bootcamp. Jess warned us that she was well rested before class started so I knew we were in for it, lol.

The aftermath of Saturday’s workouts
Sunday, December 6
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Peloton Bon Jovi Ride 10/27/20 – Irene (30 minutes)
Really great ESP workout at OTF this morning, especially the floor section. Any time I can lift heavier weight is a good day, and the inclines on the treadmill didn’t bother me that much so that’s a win in my book!
Total Weekly Mileage: 12.4 miles
Summary: 7 runs*, 4 bootcamps, 1 yoga, 2 cycle and 3 OTF/strength/HITT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 180/182
Grade This Week ā A
Anyone else having a hard time getting in the Christmas spirit? We decorated the house last weekend and that helped a little bit, but I’m still feeling a little “blah”. I’ve also been blasting Christmas music so I’m hoping the longer I do that, the faster the “Christmas spirit” will hit me.
On Friday I received my gifts from the BibRavePro Ambassadors Gift Exchange. I can’t wait to start the book later on today!
I’m looking forward to another week off from work next week. I usually wouldn’t take so much time off in a short time period, but we lose our vacation time if we don’t use it by the end of the year. There’s no way I’m giving back any vacation time so another staycation it is!
…and now for this week’s memes š

2020 in a nutshell

This offends me deeply lol

LOL

I ate/drank some questionable things in college so this definitely applies to me
That’s it! I hope you had a great week š
Iām linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.

Tuesday Topics: Holiday Gifts for Runners
Haha I’ve seen that jungle juice thing floating around- how true is that lol! I think we are all a little skeptical about 2021, even though we are ready for 2020 to be over. Great job keeping up with your workouts this week!
LoL it’s so true, haha. Totally agree about being skeptical about 2021 – I’m glad 2020 is almost over but I know Covid won’t magically disappear once we hit 2021.
Hehe, I definitely drank some questionable things in college! I plan to get the vaccine the minute I can….
It was a crazy work week for me too, it seemed like everyone pushed everything from Thanksgiving week to this week. Ugh.
Right?! It seems like no one did any work the week of Thanksgiving and saved it all for this past week lol.
oh college years! Just glad there was no social media back then š Can’t wait to try some of Tunde’s bike boot camps when I get home. I hear they are great. Way to fit it all in amist a busy work week. Have a good one!
We only had Facebook and MySpace when I was in college – I’m so thankful we didn’t have Instagram and all the other social media apps! I really liked Tunde’s bike bootcamp – she is just as crazy as Jess, lol.
Great bunch of workouts this week! 2020 is coming to an end but I suspect Covid and all that comes with it, is going to be an issue well into 2021. Ugh.
You, I totally agree about that. It will be nice to leave 2020 in the rearview mirror but it doesn’t mean 2021 is going to great.
Haha, yep we had ‘punch’ mixed in a hefty bag in a giant garbage can. I’m sure that was an immune booster!!
Right there with you on the flagging Christmas spirit. I am all good with sponsoring our family at work. But exchanging gifts with the extended fam is becoming a cluster. I can’t wait for our Zoom exchange… not. Oh, and I have to buy stocking stuffers. Ok, done whining. I’m just over it all!
lol, same here! I cringe when I think about it.
I feel like I just want to get everyone gift cards this year – nice and simple.
Congrats on another great week of workouts!
Love those memes!
Thanks Deb!
That jungle juice meme is everything LOL Looks like a solid week for you…did I see you’ve done 180 out of 182 artist series classes? Did I read that correctly? Dang…you’re hardcore #FistBump Enjoy our vacation week!!
Yup, that’s correct! I have done a lot of Peloton classes this year, most of them artist series classes, lol.
I did my first Jess Sims workout this week! It was “just” strength, not bootcamp, so no cussing but she definitely didn’t mess around. Enjoy your time off! My company doesn’t track PTO which is great in a normal year when I can go away for a long weekend anytime I want to, but it’s a little monotonous now that there is no where to go so I don’t bother to take time away from work.
Jess definitely doesn’t mess around and she likes to make sure you use every minute of a workout. I love her for it, but also curse her out for it too lol.
I saw that last meme today actually! I always get a chuckle from your memes, Kim!
Very solid week for you. Aside from the Christmas spirit, which I’m sure you’ll get as it gets closer, it sounds like you’re doing well. I hear you on the vacation time — Mr. Judy usually takes a couple of weeks off in December because of that!
I always say that I won’t wait until December to use most of my vacation time but that never happens lol
That jungle juice one makes me giggle every time
Going to lose soem time but trying to find a few more days to take this year. I was off from 11/18-30 and that was nice, tried not to flood anyone when I got back but…
I think it was so hard to take off time this year because it wasn’t like we could use our vacation time to actually go on vacation, lol.
I’m on PTO in theory. I’m on my 4th meeting of the day. Ooops
That jungle juice meme made me laugh out loud! Definitely consumed some questionable things at off-campus parties and lived to tell about it š
I’m struggling with my Christmas spirit too. We started decorating today so that helped a bit.
I’ve bookmarked both the Outkast classes – looking forward to taking them!
Enjoy your week off!
That meme made me laugh so hard because its so true, lol. I really, really enjoyed the Outkast cycle and yoga classes. Andy talked a little too much during the Outkast run but it was still good.
LOL on that last meme! Safety of the vaccine is a concern, but people take so many more risks for less important reasons! Iām awed by your bootcamp stacks – one at a time does me in
Iām stressed about getting my work done before my clients are gone for the holidays ā almost all my late December deadlines have to be cleared in the next two weeks.
I’m still a little uneasy about the vaccine, but I know ultimately I’ll still take it.
OMG, Jungle juice!!! That was so popular during college. Just earlier today I was reminiscing about it and was thinking of taking a trip to my college town. I know there will be no one there but I just wanted to walk around campus. So many memories there!
I went to the living room to turn on my Peloton bike and its been so long since I’ve used it that I had to enter my password. Oh boy! That is no bueno.
Enjoy your time off! I am looking forward to my 2 weeks off too.
Haha, right?! I consumed a lot of jungle juice. I am shocked that my liver doesn’t still hate me from that time in my life, haha.
I’m taking a day off this week and and one next week. Four day weeks makes thing bearable.
I haven’t bought ONE gift…just don’t feel like it.
Great active as always.
Always appreciate your memes.
I wish we could have 4 day work weeks long term – that would be amazing.
I don’t know how my liver has ever forgiven me after college! Isn’t that funny?
I love Outkast and Bon Jovi! I would have been rocking out.
I owe my liver much appreciation for still functioning correctly after college – I asked a lot of it, lol.
Jungle juice. haha!!! yep, that’s my era. I haven’t taken any 60 min Peloton classes yet. That 60 min core class sounds intense!
I have to be in the right mindset for any of the 60 minute classes!
