Happy Sunday! And just like that, we hit the last 3 months of the year! We had awesome Fall weather for most of the week and I am loving it 🙂 I even purchased some mini pumpkins to decorate the stairs outside of the house. Let’s hope that the squirrels don’t eat them or steal them (like they did last year).
Monday, September 27
Warm Up Walk 12/15/18 – Matty (10 minutes)
LHM Celebration Run 9/25/21 – Becs (45 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 11/29/18 – Matty (10 minutes)
LHM Full Body Strength 9/20/21 – Selena (30 minutes)
LHM: Salsa Ride 9/23/21 – Kendall (20 minutes)
LHM Icons Yoga Flow 9/27/21 – Kirra (45 minutes)
This was the most Monday of Mondays – ugh! I felt like I was playing catch up at work because I just kept fielding emails all day long so that was annoying. Other than that, I did enjoy this LatinX inspired workout in the morning. The playlist were fun and just what I needed to wake up in the morning.
Tuesday, September 28
Warm Up Walk 9/14/21 – Daniel (10 minutes)
LHM Live DJ Run 9/24/21 – Adrian (30 minutes)
Core Strength 8/3/21 – Olivia (10 minutes)
LHM: Fresh Friday Ride 9/24/21 – Denis (30 minutes)
HIIT Cardio 8/20/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
This was one of those rare days when I completed my workout in the afternoon after logging off work. I have to say – it felt nice to wake up a little later, enjoy breakfast and watch a little bit of TV before logging on for work. Usually I’m rushing around in the morning trying to fit in my workout, breakfast and a shower, all before starting work. Originally I planned my workout around a 7:30pm ride with Cody to celebrate my 700th ride, but due to his partner on DWTS getting Covid, I believe he has to quarantine in California. I didn’t see another live ride I wanted to do, so I just did an on demand ride – it was still fun and a nice way to celebrate!
Wednesday, September 29
R&B Walk 9/10/21 – Kirsten (20 minutes)
90s Hip Hop Walk 8/25/21 – Rebecca (20 minutes)
Flash 15 1/22/21 – Jess (15 minutes)
Oktoberfest Ride 9/24/21 – Erik (30 minutes)
Core Strength 8/3/21 – Olivia (10 minutes)
LHM Celebration Yoga Flow 9/29/21 – Chelsea (30 minutes)
A little bit of everything for this workout. I truly enjoyed both power walk classes, especially with the mix of inclines. The Oktoberfest ride was super fun! Of course I never know what Erik is saying since he speaks German, but smiling and having fun is universal.
Thursday, September 30
Core Strength 8/3/21 – Olivia (10 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Power (60 minutes)
Warm Up Walk 9/20/21 – Becs (5 minutes)
Hip Hop Fun Run 9/17/19 – Jess (20 minutes)
This was such a great power day workout at OTF. I loved everything about the workout, and felt super strong during the treadmill block, which is rare! The playlist for the hip hop fun run made the class go by super fast – I loved it.
Friday, October 1
Orangetheory Fitness – ESP (45 minutes)
Sundays with Love Ride 1/17/21 – Ally (30 minutes)
Recovery Run 8/29/19 – Jess (20 minutes)
Okay, so I didn’t feel as strong on the treadmill during this OTF class, lol. We had a bunch of progressive inclines which are totally not my jam. Thankful the strength portion was all chest and shoulders which I loved. The recovery run was perfect for me to shake out my legs after the OTF class.
Saturday, October 2
Bootcamp Warm Up 9/8/21 – Selena (5 minutes)
Warm Up Walk 9/20/21 – Becs (5 minutes)
Run + Full Body 7/1/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
HRZ Bootcamp: Core 6/12/19 – Jess (45 minutes)
Cool Down Walk 9/28/21 – Daniel (10 minutes)
I’ve done the 5 minute warm up walk with Becs a few times over the past 2 weeks because I really love it. It focuses on a bunch of different drills that help my legs warm up before a run or bootcamp class. There was no live #Saturday60 this week so I decided to do two 45 minute bootcamp classes. I’ll admit this was a little ambitious and I was definitely feeling the soreness later on in the day!
Sunday, October 3
Warm Up Walk 8/10/21 – Chase (10 minutes)
Sundays with Love Ride 1/24/31 – Ally (30 minutes)
Fit Family Strong HIIT Cardio 7/28/20 – Jess (20 minutes)
Orangetheory Fitness – Strength (45 minutes)
Mana Yoga Flow – Mariana (45 minutes)
Another fun-filled treadmill block full of inclines at OTF today. I think they are getting us ready for Hell Week at the end of the month! I’ll do the yoga class later on today. I always like to do a yoga class on Sundays for a little TLC after a long week of workouts.
Total Weekly Mileage: 17.84 miles
Summary: 9 runs*, 5 cycle, 2 bootcamps, 3 yoga and 10 OTF/strength/HIIT classes.
*I include running from my OTF workouts, boot camp classes and stand alone runs.
Peloton Artist Series Classes Progress – 399/404
On Tuesday I submitted an application for the 2022 Brooks Run Happy Team. I know it’s a long shot, but I really love the brand and run exclusively in their sneakers. Other than that, they just seem like a really cool brand and I also appreciate how they get involved with social issues and charitable organizations.
Jess Sims always says to stay in the present during a workout, and this is something I really struggle with. It’s easy for me to think about all the things I need to do for work since I usually exercise before logging into work for the day. This week I really tried to stay in the present. The thing is, work will always be there and there is always something to do. The best thing I can do is to really focus on my workout.
…and now for this week’s memes

Me all week lol

I love cauliflower, but not as a pizza crust!
That’s it! I hope you had a great week 🙂
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
In Case You Missed It

Another solid week!! Way to go., #KimTwin, and huge congrats on ride #700!!!
Thanks so much #kimtwin!
Another epic week, how do you do it??
Thanks Liz! I just love working out – that’s the only reason I think of, lol. It’s really the only time I have that’s just for me so I take advantage!
Sounds like another great week!!! I see you did a bike class with my yoga guy, Denis. It’s so funny because I see him almost every day for yoga- I know he teaches other classes but it’s hard for me to imagine him on the bike, ha ha.
i don’t mind a cauliflower crust, but it’s not really pizza. We’re making pizzas tonight with good old white flour, yum!
Big congrats on ride #700!! That’s awesome! Such a strong week all around!
That cat meme is me… every day! LOL 😉
I was definitely that cat meme all last week, lol.
I wish CF would do Hell Week like you do at OTF. Although it sometimes feels like Hell Week even when it’s not, lol I also applied for the Brooks Team but I just don’t think I’m what they are looking for, sigh….
Nice week of workouts!
Same here for the Brooks team – I don’t think I’m what they are looking for but I figured it couldn’t hurt to try!
Nice work, Kim. I am always impressed with how much you pack into each day. Fingers crossed for the Brooks application. I thought about applying, too, but I don’t think they’d pick me… LOL maybe next time.
Thanks! The Brooks application is definitely a pie in the sky type dream but I figured it couldn’t hurt to apply!
I agree Brooks seems like a very cool brand and that team would be amazing, alas I cannot wear their shoes. Fingers and toes crossed for you though! Congrats on #700! Wowza!
Thanks! It’s kind of a long shot but I never applied before so thought it couldn’t hurt to apply this year.
I hear you on how nice it is to have a relaxed morning every once in a while! In Summer I have to get up early to beat the heat — it’s part of why I dig Fall weather so much!
Although I don’t love working out after work, I definitely need to schedule more relaxed mornings – it was so nice!
Happy 700 my friend!
As much as I’ve enjoyed my morningwalks, there’s something about morning reading time
100% fluent in swearcasm here too
I really enjoyed the relaxed morning and want to implement more of those every month.
I rarely workout after work either, but when I do, its not that bad… But still prefer mornings, like you 🙂 Bummer that Cody’s DWTS partner got Covid. I would assume vaccinated too- argh.
Ride 700! Holy moly…that’s a lot of Peloton rides! Congrats Kim!
Yup, both Cody and his partner were vaccinated so they both have breakthrough cases of Covid – ugh!
The question is not if the squirrel will eat or steal your cute little pumpkins, but how soon they’ll do it! I considered purchasing fake pumpkins at Lowe’s because the squirrels always eat mine, too. The only reason they don’t steal them is because I buy the bigger ones. When a squirrel carries one of those off, it won’t be safe to leave the house! LOL
LOL about the squirrels! So far it’s day 3 and all the pumpkins are still there.
way to crush your workouts this week! Congrats on 700! Your OTF classes sound like a real challenge! I also started buying some fall decor I love this time of the year
Fall is such a pretty time of the year but I tend to do more decorating in the Winter.
Another great week! I admire you for the work on the treadmill! It was my nightmare.
I would like to receive the visit of some squirrels in my garden, at the moment only friendly hedgehogs.
Love the meme with the cat (now we have 2 cats at home and 5 in the garden).
We haven’t seen any hedgehogs here yet, just squirrels and deer, lol.
I do love that cauliflower meme!
Congrats on your 700th ride! I usually enjoy those Fresh Friday classes – will have to check that one out.
I usually can block work our when I’m working out, but I need to break my bad habit of checking my work email before I am ready to start working. It just stresses me out!
Haha, same! I do enjoy cauliflower but I have tried a few different cauliflower crust pizzas and they have all been horrible 🙁
I definitely stopped checking my email before my workouts because the emails would always bum me out before I even got started.
Congrats on 700! That’s awesome!
I’m so glad I restarted my Peloton subscription I really missed the classes and stuff! I have been loving doing the bootcamps and runs again. I might even go for a walk later, it’s nice enough here to do so!
Thanks! I’m so glad that you are loving the Peloton app again and enjoying the classes.
Congrats again on your ride.
I need to try out those power walks. They seem fun
I’ve applied to Brooks in the past. I do not have a big enough readership. But good luck.
For me, the power walks are a nice break from runs.
Cauliflower! The bane of my existence!
I love that the Coach speaks German. Is that all the time or just during Oktoberfest?
LOL! I actually like cauliflower but it’s just all types of wrong in pizza.
Yup, that coach speaks German all the time. He’s one of the few German instructors for Peloton.
